im in love with a boy who may not see me
like the moonlight road that i travel he is as beautiful as he is deadly
i shall love him and only him
i shall be faithful to my dying breath if he shall love me too
for i am in love with a friend who i do not want to lose
so i am afraid to take that extra step
i want him to always be beside me
hopefully that will always be true
'love me for i love you' is what i whisper into the night as he walks away
letting the wind carry the words away i fight not to cry
he said he was in love with some one else today and my heart shattered
yet i faced him with a smile as to not show my pain
i will always be beside him through wind and rain, fire and storm
so hopefully one day he will see me and love me
but for now i will just grin and smile and not show my tears or broken heart
maybe i cant have a happy ending but he can
just dont forget me, i will always be here
to comfort him and pick up the pieces after every heart break he encounters
to loveingly and patiently stitch back together his heart even though i couldnt fix my own
hoping someday he will comfort me as i lay curled in my bed at night crying,seeing only him
maybe someday but that day is not today
