Thats right! I wrote a new poem! and as is my tradition, i will put it in my journal!!!
Shades of Gray
My mind is like a vortex absorbing everything in reach.
I try to run, I try to scream, but sometimes I can barely bring myself to breathe.
I feel as if I am trapped within a dream.
That everything I see is from a canvas in my mind.
Paintings from memories I thought were long since forgotten.
Holding me here with these shackles and chains.
My body screams for release.
For some kind of understanding.
I yearn to feel the freedom of the soft morning mist.
To feel the air around me.
To see the color of a blossom in Spring.
When I finally break free from my life imprison'd,
Have the breeze brush against my face.
I will be able to say I have seen life's true colors.
But until then all I have are these shades of gray
