Kalisa called and wanted to meet him. Dave was torn between nervousness, apprehension, and hope. Not the best mix when dealing with your ex. So he had me make sure he looked spiffy and left to pick her up for lunch.
He came home crying. Again.
That girl plays with his emotions like no other. She probably doesn't mean to, at least I hope she doesn't mean to... I want to think the best of her, but it's hard. The way my brother is suffering. I just don't know what to think.
He loved her so much, and she left him in the dust. It's been over a year, true, but they were days short of spending 3 years together. He was devoted to her. And now all they are is friends.
So, back to the story, he came home teary eyed. I gave him hugs and calmed him down, then dragged him over to his laundry that I so nicely washed for him and ordered him to start folding. He laughed and said thanks. Do I know my brother or what?
Ended up dragging him to the grocery store where he insisted on buying chocolate chips for cookies we aren't going to bake. And he's making me watch Final Fantasy. D:
At least it's not Star Wars again. Even I can get tired of that, though it takes a REALLY long time.
