Well, it's official! I am Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream! I beat a lot of people to get it. When I showed up at the first rehearsal, I was the only one who had all their lines memorized! And this is Shakespeare people, so it's hard to memorize!
I'm really happy about getting Puck because I didn't get that good in the musical. But some people dropped out of the musical because they were upset that they got small roles, so now I've been promoted. I'm a motorwise girl, but I'm also a secretary, which means that me and a couple other people have our own dance and song, and I even get lines. We went to the first rehearsal for the singing, and I already knew the song off by heart! That'll show them.
Actually, the reason I know the song off by heart and have memorized Puck is because I have a lot of time on my hands.
My dad doesn't get the play thing though. He thinks it's "bullshit". He hates that he has to drive me to so many practices, wasting gas money so I can "stand on a stage and impress myself". I can't believe he's so rude about something I love to do! Acting is great and he says it's bullshit???
Sometimes he makes me really irritated.
