[[[[Soooo..... yesterday was a break day, sorry guys. XD
My internet crapped out on me, so I couldn't post anything. Hopefully you all got caught up, because the updates continue normally now. XD]]

“What!?” A voice growled in response to Ximly’s accounts.

Ximly let out a sigh as she looked to her best friend. “Rika… please… calm down…”

“Calm? CALM!?! Ximly!! This is-“

“we don’t know that for sure, this is just a defensive, evasive action if that is the case…”

THe blue haired, scaled, tall woman with an eerie dragon-like appearance sighed. “Perhaps you are right… Birkley was an excellent actor…. But those men took your truck!”

“Aye, but keep in mind, I did write to the post to request better funding…”

“But then Tom would’ve delivered it…”

Ximly nodded as she leaned back on the white countertop that was built into the side of the Haven’s lab. This was the main research room where their professor, Rika Munny, ran most of her experiments. THe room was located in the main Lab building, and was filed with test tubes, computers, tables, everything that a scientist needed to function properly.
“I’m taking Brian to my mum’s place…. Just to be safe.”

Rika sighed, though it sounded more like a hiss. “Good idea…. But what about Tim? I don’t want him getting hurt….”

“If he can pack a bag quickly, then I can take him as well.” Ximly said quietly. She knew that Rika was especially fond of her adopted son…

Rika gave a slight sigh with a nod. “I’ll tell him to do so quickly…”

Ximly returned her nod and patted the drakk. “We’ll take Tana’s car when she comes back from lunch geeding. Has Corel returned?”

Rika nodded, “Right in the time for Tana to draft him into carring half the food load.”

Ximly laughed. Tana could be a bit pushy when she wanted too, but for the most part she was fairly quiet. “Poor elf.” Ximly laughed.

Rika smirked, “Truly….so….” Her expression faded, “When do you leave?”

“If Tim can be ready before five tonight, then we’ll leave after dinner. If not, first thing in the morning and we’ll grab breakfast on the way out of town.” Ximly replied.

Rika let out another sigh, but this time of relief. “Good…”

Ximly nodded. “I’ve not yet talked to Tana yet, so I suppose that’s the next thin I’ll do.”

Rika returned Ximly’s nod. “Oh! Wait!” She said quickly before Ximly could leave. “The Council next Friday! What will we do with the relocating?”

Ximly stopped inches from the glass door. “Make it official.”

Rika forced herself to nod again, “Okay…”

The drakk watched as the human left the room on her way out of the building.








“Don’t drop those!” A female hissed as the blood elf struggled with the many wide trays filled with food, mainly raw meat seasoned with vitamins for the recovering creatures.

“Sorry…. I shan’t …” Corel said quickly regaining the hold on the trays. “I’m a bit off today…”

“So I’ve noticed.” Tana said aloud as she walked through the zoo-like hall.

Most of the glass windows showed empty rooms, but a few held small carnivorous creatures, and one held the pair of Cockatrice that had been recovered earlier that month. The enclosures behind the glass wer huge, and this was just the dragon’s dome.


Corel stared as Tana led him to a side door and stopped. The door clearly stated that only approved, authorized, personnel were allowed past that point.

“Set the trays out here, thanks.” Tana said as she placed the few she was holding on the ground before picking through her pockets. The trays still floating in the air quivered for a moment before gently landing on the ground at the witch’s command.

Corel gave a nod and struggled once more to set the items of food down gently, but he managed. “So…”

“You can go back to the lab. I’m sure the professor is waiting.”

“No, actually, she isn’t…” Ximly said, coming up behind Corel.
