Today I finally got impatient and decided that my starter earing must come out or people will get hurt. I went to the mall and found the exact pair I was looking for. I went home to put it on and found that the original earing did NOT want to come off. It took twenty minutes to remove it because some hair was stuck in the clasp. After all that my ear was a lovely redish-purple color and swollen, but I decided to go ahead and put the new ring in. It hurt a little, but what the hell, I didn't care. Then came the REALLY fun part. You see, the earing I got was the kind that's a hoop that doesn't close all the way and has a little metal ball on each end that unscrews so you can put it on/take it off. What I didn't realize was that those things are a b***h to get on because it's almost impossible to screw the little ball on when you can't see what you're doing. After an hour and thirty minutes I was royally pissed off, I'd lost both the little balls from one earing (I dropped 'em and they're impossible to find on the floor, they're so small), and my head hurt, but I finally got it on. Now I'm never taking it off because I'll never get it back on again.
In other news, here's a really stupid picture I found in the forums-
