Lo and behold Isa -- I found the answer to all our problems.
I asked my mom about the whole issue on "homosexuals are going to hell". Her response?
"Jesus died on the cross for our sins. No sin is greater than the other, so even if being homosexual is a sin, it's forgiven."
And 1 Corinthians 6:9? We took it out of context completely. If we would've read just a little further, we would've found this...
"And such some of you were [once]. But you were washed clean (purified by a complete atonement for sin and made free from the guilt of sin), and you were consecrated (set apart, hallowed), and you were justified [pronounced righteous, by trusting] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God." - 1 Corinthians 6:11
|: Huh. The Bible seems a lot simpler now. All we really have to do according to it is accept Jesus Christ as your Savior (in other words, believe that he died horribly for our sins) and you'll be "saved" no matter what.
^.^- I feel better now. Not that I'm going to go to church every Sunday and read the Bible on a regular basis, but I believe in Jesus and stuff D:
