My Fantasy Journey- Wraith and Kilara's Story
Chapter 1- Crossed Paths- This is from the Fantasy RP forum.

Wraith walked around the small town. His vampire senses (or rather, Echo's senses) could smell the demons and half breeds among the humans. They're all scum, he thought. It wouldn't be long before sunset, and he had to get out of the town as soon as possible.

Wraith sensed a few things he couldn't sense before. Shapeshifters and seers, what next? He wrapped his cape around himself and he looked around at the crowds of people, his white-gloved hand on the handle of his sword.

Wraith felt a strong pain in his chest and he fell to his knees. No, it's not even dark yet. Please. Echo was trying to take control of him. The darkness crystal in his pocket glowed and Wraith looked around at the people who were staring at him. He covered his mouth with one hand, feeling the fangs that were growing and the tremendus thirst for blood that pulled at his gut.

Wraith was on his feet in a flash. Still keeping a hand on his mouth and one on his stomach, he ran as fast as he could, his eyes shut tight. He didn't care what or who he ran into, just as long as he got out of the town before sunset.

Kilara looked down and saw this, figuring he was sick she jumped down and picked him up then ran back out of the village into the forest, by the time she put him down she was panting heavily.

Wraith felt like his lungs were being squeezed, he couldn't breath. He tried to sit up, but was too weak. Echo was going to do everything to gain control of his body, even if that meant causing Wraith pain. He couldn't take anymore, Wraith submited to Echo's contol.

Kilara folded her legs and wacthed him. "Are you ok?" she asked worried.

Pathetic human, Echo thought as he sat up. No one defies me. He looked at the girl who was sitting there watching him. He smiled at her, reveiling his fangs. The last time he hunted, he only found a few children, but now, he didn't have to hunt, and he was staring at a decent meal. He stood up. " Stupid girl, you should really know how to tell a human from a vampire's slave," he said before jumping at her with his fangs bared.

Kilara jumped up into the tree above her and stared down at him. "Thats mean, let him go!" I can't use my daggers, I'll kill both of them!

" Stupid girl! You should know better then to run from a vampire!" Echo shouted as he jumped up into the tree after her. " I'm not as nice as my weak human vessel. I need blood, and you will do quite nicely!"

Kilara turned around and jumped from tree to tree trying to out pace the vampire.

Echo was getting fed up with this girl. He drew Wraith's sword and chased after her. Reaching a claw into his pocket, he also took out Wraith's darkness crystal. He used it to form a hole underneath the girl's feet. He took pleasure in watching her fall into the hole.

Kilara fell into the hole with a small cry. She atemped to grab the edge, but missed.

Echo laughed as he jumped into the hole with her. He saw her back up against the wall and he pointed the sword at her.
" You have guts, I'll give you that. I'll tell you what, I'll just kill you. It will be quick and painless, and you won't turn into a vampire. What do you say?"

Kilara glared at him. "I would rather live." She felt her daggers slip into her hands and waited to see how he would respond.

Echo laughed.
" Oh! So you want to kill me now? Many have tried for years, ever since I possessed this human as a young pathetic boy, but none of them had the curage to kill a boy. This body comes in handy when it comes to fights," he said. He took a few steps closer.

Kilara knew it had been more of a bluff anyway, she couldn't kill him. She shifted uneasily, unsure of what to do now.

Echo stopped suddenly. Why wasn't she fighting back? Surely that little story would have angered her. It didn't matter now. Echo walked up to her and he pointed the end of the sword underneath her chin.
" Well, it's been fun," he said.

Kilara knew she'd hate herself for it, but she had no choice. She tighened her grip on her dagger and threw it at the vampire. The point of the sword caused her some discomfort when she threw the dagger but she knew it was a minor cut.

Echo roared in pain when the dagger punctured his shoulder. He staggered backwards, dropping the sword, and he pulled the dagger out and he threw it to the side.
" You'll pay for that," he panted.

Noticing that he had dropped his sword she ran. She knew he would die a horrible death from her poisened daggers, but right now she was happy to be alive.

Suddenly feeling weak, Echo took out Wraith's darkness crystal, and it glowed green.
" Poison, nice trick," Echo whispered. Apparently, the girl had no idea what powers the darkness crystal held. Echo held the crystal to his wound, and grimaced in pain when it started to pull the poison out of his wound. He'd let her live, for now, but when they cross paths again, she's done for.
When the poison was fully out, Echo pulled himself out of the hole. The sun was starting to rise, and he was hungry. He has to have blood tomorrow night. He withdrew, returning control to Wraith. Wraith fell to the ground, unconcious.

After watching the vamire go throught the hole, she followed, though carefully. She saw him on the ground and was torn between killing him and letting him live. She jumped back up into a tree to observe him.
