Things don’t look well. Things aren’t well. Things aren’t even going to be well. But first things first: try to restrict blood loss.
That’s not going to be an easy fleet. First off, how. It’s not like he could use a tourniquet—and he shouldn’t. Those things are best used as a last resort—and the placement of that gash doesn’t make things any easier.

The fledgling got down to business. If he can’t really prevent what is left of her from falling out, he could try to prevent a crucial being of her from falling apart. But it’s not getting anywhere. All he’s doing is soaking up and putting waste to the limited gauze. At least the wound’s cleaned up. Kind of…sort of…not really…ok no.
Going to have to resort to something else. A half semester or so experience isn’t enough to save someone. Not this someone. What is there left to fall back to? He can’t just ditch her and run for the phone, dial a three digit number and wait anxiously for them to arrive. The stress would kill him. He can’t just ask the others for help. Blood on his hands would suggest suspicious acts, and his nature doesn’t help it either. But he can’t just sit here or make another move lest he cuts the line without knowing. And her reassuring hand—or taunting—isn’t really quelling these painful throbs in his chest.

"Lah!" Age turned to the demon standing not farther than three feet away from the scene, sprinting up to him and practically begging for his help. The demon can do something, right? His magic has the power to separate the living from the dead and keep the living alive and dead dead. Right? Right?!
"Do Something! I don't know what, but something! Somethingthat'llsaveherplease!"
