I was watching TV when someone knocked on the door. My sister, Cambridge, or Cami, answered it, and a guy about our age stood in front of a girl who looked like Diana from our class. "Diana? These are Earth and Fire?" He sounded amused. My mom came in, carrying a basket of cookies. "Hello, and who might these two be?" she asked kindly. I sighed. She was the nicest in the village, and she comes with a gift of rats with extra long teeth. The boy eyed my hair as it set itself and turned into flames. I glared at him. "And who might you be?"
He looked at my hair still. "She's the princess alright."
My mother seemed to recgonize him now. "Hello, Brian."
He nodded at her, then looked at me. "The last Phoenix." I must've looked confused, because he laughed lightly. "You are the last with the control of the ancient flames, and the princess of that lost kingdom. Your mother ran with you away a long time ago. While you sister, she was born on the streets when you tried to find a place to stay. She never had her coronation. There's your story for you.
We need to find the light."
I sighed. This was fast.
I followed him anyway, Cami behind me, looking extremley bored. I had my
fire pixie, Pora, reading about controlling your element, and helping me roast marshmallows, which was easier than walking, since my hair doubled as a fire source. Brian had multiple times talked about princess ettiquet, and picking the right palace. Diana had just been calling her boyfriend, Victor, the medicine man's son. She was the water element I think.... but that's beside the point. I singed his arm hairs once, and he never liked me since, and I burned Brian's off too,
to see what happened. He just turned around and glared, while I thought,
fair enough. He just sighed when I was handing him a marshmallow, and he took
it like he was a starving monkey with no bananas. Cami muttered something about if people were mean to each other, they liked each other, which stopped us in between fights and pranks. I DID NOT LIKE THAT IDIOT PRINCE.
Or did I?
