I helped myself to a bag of chips while I explained to a new half-blood how the camp worked and what claim day meant. When I got to the part where she would have to stay in the Hermes cabin until she was claimed, a gold hologram of two combined engagement rings appeared over her head, I knew something went wrong. She was a daughter of Hera. Why all of a sudden were the maiden goddesses having kids? It seemed minor to most half bloods, but not to me or Percy. I called Karri, (daughter of Hestia, another maiden goddess) Percy, Grover and Chiron in to check it out. When I explained that she was claimed by Hera, Grover stumbled on words. The girl WAS pretty. But I got real angry when even Percy seemed tounge tied. "Percy!" I snapped. "This is serious! Stop trying to ask her out and let Chiron do something." He blushed and then nodded. Karri looked at me. "Will I survive?" I nodded. I forgot she and this daughter of Hera would, too. I really don't like venting my feelings like this. Sorry. "Okays. Now then," Percy started. "Now we know most of the- ALL of the cabins will be full.... except cabin one..." "Hey, at least she HAS a cabin..." Karri muttered. Percy glared at her, then stopped when Chiron started speaking, or at least, tried to keep us in a not-so-bad mood. "Well, now I must consult with Zeus and Hera. Meanwhile, what is your name, dear?" she sighed, like she already told the entire camp, which she mostly did.
