Tonight was the second night of trying to survive a Mob attack. Our little campain of 5 (there were 7, but 2 haven't been able to join us) had entered into a room filled with crates and boxes. No one realized it was a nasty trap until the skeletons started jumping out at us and surounding our little group. We tried to head back the way we came, the passage way was narrow and reduced the number of skeletons that could reach us, but only one of our number made it back there before the swarm surrounded us. So we started fighting the crritters. But with the numbers against us, and gamers who like to chat and argue their moves and actions, the battle has been long and tedious. Initially, there was almost 70 goblins, orcs and ogres skeletons against us. Think tonight we finally got them down to around the 1/2 way point. But not because of any serious efforts on our part. Most of the skeletons were toasted by vials of Greek Fire the skeletons carried and carelessly threw. This battle ended up taking us 4 nights to complete. Originally, when our DM had planned it we had 6 players, one being a cleric, a couple with cleave, an illusionist with some web spells and a couple of vials of Greek fire. Unfortunately, we lost 2 characters in the battle prior to that, and due to events in the game some of the surviving members felt their characters would be disgruntled and made new characters to continue the quest. The night the battle began only 4 of us came and well, we just weren't prepared.

Anyway, the battle is done and the group is now continuing through the dungeon.
What ghools will we face next? domokun
