Space

If you really think about it
We are all lucky
Very very lucky
All you have to do is think
About the Fractional chance to be born on this lone planet
Surround by the diamonds of the sky
We don't know if we are alone
But if we are
Then its a vast and gloomy outlook
To a bleak and dark space
Thats unending and impossible to fully map

But in my opinion
We will explore
And we will find
Another planet
Another speices
Theres no way to figure out what we will find
What evolutionary path that planet took
How alien and advanced it will be
But the time will come
When we explore the unknown
We wont be ready
We wont be prepared
But we will learn and adapt
To thier culture and launguge
Unless we have a biased government
Or they have an ignorant dictator
Who wont accept change or diversity
Then we will be forced into war
That should have been peace

But that day
Is long away
From reaching here
Although
you never know
If the aliens will find us
Or
If they already have

But space is far
And space is wide
Far beyond what our minds can comprehend
There are so many planets we want to explore
For a very little span of life
So it will be a long while till we find a new world
In this unending hole we call space
