"See you tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course!" A hot guy happily replied

"Yeah, Renge will be freaked to hear that you like her too." I said, opening the door, exiting Starbucks.




I'm Charlotte Fukuyama , gray-eyed brunette.I'm 21. I love helping my friends with their love life. They actually call me "Cupid's Helper". I really don't have any hope of my own. I'm engaged. I really didn't make it, it was an arranged marriage made by my dad, a president of a big company in Japan and another president of another big company(I have no clue). He fell in love with my American mother on a business trip to California. I love Coffee.

I walked down the streets and spotted my high school crush, Yuri.

He was walking his dog with his long dark hair, sparkling eyes, tight pants, and style. Same old, Yuri.

I literally dropped my coffee and it spilled all over my Nine West Benton at the sight.

"My boots!" I cried and dropped down beginning to clean myself up.

-lick- I felt something on my cheek. I looked up and saw a black Labrador panting in front of my face. I let out a yelp. I looked up a little more and saw Yuri Standing there with an impassive face.

I froze and forgot about my $180 boots burning in coffee.

"Charlotte... right?" He bent down and help me...

"uh... yes.... ummm... Yuri?" I replied making sure it was him...

-Bark Bark- His dog got impatient.

"Yes I am." He looked at me and smiled. He finished, and I thanked him.

Lexi, the Black Labrador decided to check out some Shiba Inus, so Yuri and I didn't have a chance to talk.

"Umm... See you...?" He said, kind of unsure. He left me standing there, dumbfounded. This happened so quickly!

I sighed and started walking home. I guess that was the last of him...

"Charlotte!" I heard someone call out. I turned to see Yuri running to me.

"I know we haven't really got to know each other... but can you come here at 7:30 on Valentine's Day?" He handed me a flyer to a dance. Then he told me," It's our high school reunion. I want to go but I don't have a partner."

Lexi pulled on her leash. Yuri took out a pen and wrote something on the flyer. "Call this number to contact me. Gotta go!"

He left me there AGAIN, dumbfounded.

High school reunion.... Valentine's Day... the day I get married.

The day I get married. The day I get married...!

"Yuri! Yuri, I can't go!" I tried calling out to him. But he was too far away to hear.

It was January 29, the day I finally got a date with the guy I like. But on that same day of the date... I will get married.
