Glacial Malice
like waves
we break against the sand
of the cold Artic snow
we fell apart
the ice melts then forms again
thicker and stronger than before
like our hearts
the walls go up once more
from the ocean to land
we find ourselves back in the wood
where our lives began
time makes a mockery of us all
children play hide and seek
emerging as young adults
there's no more emptiness inside
and i find myself wishing on someone else's star
alone again tonight
love no where in sight
my heart torn apart
i journey to see the unicorns
to find comfort in soothing horns
but no mystic insight from the dead
back to the wood alone i run
maybe my game of hide and seek
isn't in fact over
only just beginning
