They walked silently through the long tunnel. There was little light and the tunnel was long but they continued on without a word. Cid had been further behind them after stopping in the other room. He ran to catch up to Gale. "Kid..." Gale stopped at the end of tunnel. "Something.... draws near....." "What will we do if it is something I can't charm? We have no weapons..." "We pray that what ever it is has Deddo blood running through it..." They walked into the open room which was light by crystals. "I don't think we will be that lucky..." A cloaked figure stood at one end of the room with his back turned to them. He raised his arms and the crystals came to life. They began moving toward him. They towered over him but kneeled to him. "Who would dare come to this hell?" "Names Gale Tenshi... These are my brothers Zane and Koujin. And the other one is Old Man Cid. Who are you?" The figure began to laugh. "I? I am Ceru... Ceru Tenshi." He spun around and walked toward them. "And that is not just some old man. He is my brother." Gale looked to Cid confused. "C-Ceru... They weren't suppose to know..." Ceru pushed his hood back to reveal a face similar to Gale's but his was aged and full of sadness. "My sons.. it has been.. some time..." Gale backed away. "If you are Ceru... Our father... then why did you leave us?!" Ceru sighed. "I had to.... at the time there was a great evil after me. I wanted to protect you and you mother... but she followed me and...." "We saw..." "Zane... Gale... Koujin... Cid... I must get you out of here... With the commotion you caused I'm sure many of the beasts resting here have been awoken..." "You are coming with us." "I... cannot leave... I haven't been to the surface for years now..." "We won't let you die here... Not yet anyway..." Ceru sighed and nodded. "Fine... The crystal guardians will take us to the top...."
