The boy caught the Demon with his bare hands and tossed it into the air. He shot up and began to punch and kick the Demon's head. He flipped over the Demon and brought his foot down on its skull and sent it head first into the ground. With a loud crunch the Demon struck the ground and his body began to shrivel. Cid shuffled. "Hm?" Boy the walked over to him. "Who are you kid?" He remained silent. Cid stood up and took him by the collar and held him in the hair. "Answer damnit..." Ellie rubbed her head and stood up. "Xin..." Cid dropped him and walked to Ellie. "What are you doing here....." Xin paused. He looked around and sighed. "I'm looking for Gale Tenshi..... But instead I found his Demon Hunting partners......" Cid sighed. "Whats your business with Gale..." Xin removed the scarf from his face. "He is..... family....." Cid looked at him for a moment. Xin being a black male and Gale being a white male made it hard to believe that they could be any form of relative worth mentioning. "My brother... to be exact...." Cid coughed. "How is that even possible.....?" Xin smiled. "The woman Ceru married was not his real mother.... Gale is the son of my mother.... Who has been dead for a long time." Cid sighed. "And whats your proof?" Xin's eyes began to glow a dark purple. "This..." Cid laughed. "Yeah well you got some kind of Demon blood in you.... Gale should be heading back toward the house now.... He works pretty fast..." Xin nodded and moved the scarf back over his face. Cid and Ellie walked back toward the house and Xin followed along silently.
Gale had carried Sophie all the way back to town. She had woken up long before they made it but Gale refused to put her down until they got back to the house. Gale walked along the street that lead them back to the house. They were pretty silent throughout the entire trip back but Sophie had still not stopped smiling. Gale was thinking about how people would react if he stopped hiding so much of himself and he wondered the most about Sophie's reaction. Gale looked up and saw the house in front of him. It was quiet and peaceful so he knew Cid and the others hadn't gotten back yet. "Hope they aren't too disappointed..." Gale sighed. "Are you going to put me down now?" Gale laughed softly and walked to the door but as he opened it he heard someone walking toward them. He turned around and saw Ellie and Cid walking up with another person.
