darkness... people seem to call it bad a lot through stories and such but I would like to speak on its behalf... i know this is rather dim whited after all darkness is not more than absent spaces, devoid of energy or more specifically light but why not give a little incite on the idea of why so many people give darkness such a nasty overview.
when one sees darkness one suddenly comes to the conclusion that one of there senses has been cut off and no longer works. a sad situation as we lose awareness to panic and begin to stumble, trip, or feel scared. the sudden sensation leads to the understandable conclusion that we think darkness is a bad thing because it impairs our judgment and ability to understand. we then allow paranoia to set in and start to believe a certain evil exists in the surrounding shade. this could be anything from a spider to a crazed homicidal murder with an ax with plans of prolonged agony or a swift kill. either way we are sure it is something unpleasant over something that could be perceived as good. that leads into the other question. why is it we are always sure something bad is going to be awaiting us in the darkness?
there are a number of reasons for that. miracles are so unlikely that it seems rather convincing that something bad is the most likely outcome. we also like to become guarded once we have allowed this sense of unawareness to set in. so i know have to ask you... what do you think will happen when you cannot hear anything? if you cannot feel anything? will you be sure that something bad is going on that you cannot sense and that it will hurt you? this is all just a fell uninteresting views to consider. i don't claim to know why we fear darkness which i can just say is the unknown but i will say this. could it be that in our minds fear arises at the slightest hint that we lose even more control of our already undetermined lives?
