My thoughts on the previews of book 3 [*muttering* Insane shippers]

[Of course, my faaavorite part is the author's response when Maiko shippers pointed out that she's being immature.]


Lately I have read some responses on pictures and stories by Zutarians and Maikoians (or however you call it). And a few things bother me though.

For instance, my story on Mike and Bryan [Yes. You said, and I quote, "Just let your imagination flow and come up with some horrible fates for Mike and Brian." and expected people to react to it well?], it is just a way for me to let the Zutarians smile [And release their inner batshit insane psychoness.] after seeing the Maiko kiss. I know a whole lot of Zutarians want to see Mike and Bryan in some kind of torture. It’s only a natural response [No dearie, it's not. The natural response would be to feel disappointed but then calmly retreat to fanfics and fanart and, heck, come up with theories about how the kiss might be a sort of false-teaser. Torturing creators is the typical reaction of someone who needs to take some aspirin.]. (The same goes for Mai ‘bashing’ in drawings.) If we saw a Zutarian kiss in the trailer I know that the Kataangers and Maikoians [Yes. The rabid ones, who nobody likes.] would have reacted the same way.

The thing that bothers me the most is that Maikoians are calling us childish and stuff [Because you are! Duh!]. Yes, some of us are pissed and yes, some of us do act really childish, but that will fade away when time comes. It is just our way of dealing with the kiss [Did you forget the part where it's only a FICTIONAL show with FICTIONAL characters and that there are way better things to focus on?]. We are [Rabid] FANGIRLS for crying out loud. We ship! We love our ship! And seeing how it got destroyed was just too painful [Oh grow up already. There are a lot worse things that can happen besides getting your ship sunk.].

But the other shippers are fan girls as well… I mean come on… If you have a part in the shipping war, you are a fan girl, like it or not. [There's a nice little difference between "fangirl" and "rabid fangirl"]

So what I am saying is, do not call us childish because, deep down inside, you know you would have reacted the same way if you saw your fav. character kiss with an other character that doesn’t fit in your ship. [No. I wouldn't have. I would've went "Oh. Ah well" and moved on with more important things.]

So, there, I said it. [Congrats. Here's a brownie. stare ]
