35W Bridge Collapse
Nobody I know was hurt, but.....wow. You never think something like that would happen where you live. I can see the smoke from my window, and you can smell it outside. Right now there's only one confirmed death, but there's gotta be way more on the scene. My aunt was right by there when it collapsed, and we couldn't get ahold of her because the cell phone lines are jammed from all the people trying to make sure their loved ones are okay. It turns out she missed it, she didn't even know it happened.It's getting pretty dark now. Most of it is a storm that's going through (it stopped raining though, so that's good for the rescue workers) but some of it is smoke drifting over from Minneapolis. Katie's dad isn't over there (he's a cop) but he crossed the bridge going home from work about 30 minutes before it collapsed. I'm gonna go watch the news........
