~~~Episode Nineteen~~~
Zeph laid on the new bed in the bedroom, sleeping soundly.
Yuri slept on the top bunk of the bunk bed across the room, also asleep. Haku however, was sitting in the pilot's seat of the ship, still piloting. His eyes showed no trace of exhaustion, but instead where narrowed, as though he was deep thought. He typed a little on the keyboard, bringing up the navigation. A dot appeared on the nav screen, and he stared. After a moment he and gave a nod.
"Alright, Vampire City it is."
he said, typing in the coordinates.
"Vampire City? Sounds odd." Zeph said, taking a bite of his toast. Yuri smiled,
"Sounds cool! I've always read books about vampires back in my world! They're awesome!" she said after swallowing a spoonful of oatmeal.
Haku turned in the pilot's seat,
"Its a newly discovered world, so not much is known about it. But one thing is for sure, no messing around in this world. We cant let anyone know we're from other worlds, and we need to keep on eye on things without seeming suspicious."
he suddenly blinked, then glared,
"Hey! Why are you two eating in here?! We have a kitchen you know!"
he snapped. Yuri smiled,
"Relax, we wont make a mess. Just focus on flying Haku."
she said. Haku shook his head, turning back around to face the control panel.
"If you make a mess in here, I'll beat you both over the head."
he threatened as he typed in a few things on the keyboard. He then took hold of the main control,
"We'll be landing on Vampire City in 10 minutes top, so be ready you two."
he said. Zeph shrugged,
"What do we need to get ready for?"
he asked. Yuri turned to him,
"Just leave for a little and act like your doing something worth while, thats what I do."
she said before getting up out of her chair.
Haku jumped down through the hatch, landing on the soft grass below. Night had already fallen on Vampire City, casting the unknown area into a creepy shadow. Yuri and Zeph jumped down after Haku, and Zeph gasped.
"What the?! My clothes!!" he said, stunned at the change. Both Zeph and Haku were in dark black coats that opened in the front, along with a black tied shirt and pants. Yuri smiled as she looked at her new look, which was a darker school uniform with a black lined skirt. She turned to Zeph,
"We change to match the world we arrive in, so I guess this is the look around here." she said. Zeph shook his head,
"This stinks. I hate black...its so depressing and bland...even my goggles are darker!" he said, complaining. Haku turned on both of them,
"Shut up! Geez, its the middle of the night, so lets explore a little. According to my watch, the sun should be up soon."
"Alright, sounds good. Which way Haku?" Yuri asked. Haku replied by walking forward, the Gummi Ship fading and dissapearing behind them as Yuri and Zeph followed.
Soon, they came upon a large field area, the moon shining brightly down on them. Haku looked around,
"A training field."
he said. Yuri nodded,
"I guess so, but whats the large building over there? It almost reminds me of a school."
"A school?" Zeph asked her, and she smiled a little.
"Yeah, its a large building where adults teach kids things like art, science, how to read and write, and then useless stuff like math."
"Yeah, but what kind of school has a training field? This place has seen some combat before, you can tell just from looking at the grass."
Haku said.
Zeph knelt down and nodded,
"Your right...maybe its a warrior school?"
"Close, but not quite." a new voice said.
Zeph quickly stood as Haku and Yuri turned to see a teenage girl standing not to far away, her orange hair falling a to the middle of her back, her red eyes narrowed at them. She wore the same uniform Yuri had adorned, and a katana was in plain sight on her back, along with a black handbag that was over her shoulder and rested on her hip.
Haku tensed a little, but didn't reach for his own katana.
"Who are yo-" he started, but the girl cut him off.
"I should be asking you that. Just who do you think you are, creeping around our training grounds? Unless your spies...or maybe-" she paused as she saw Yuri,
"Wait a sec! Your in school uniform!"
Yuri blinked, glancing at her clothes,
"Yeah, I am." she said, hesitating slightly. The girl looked at them,
"Who are you three?"
Yuri looked to Haku, who just nodded. She stepped forward,
"I'm Yuri, and these are my friends Haku and Zeph."
She nodded a little,
"I'm Hiroko, a student here at this school."
"Excuse me Hiroko, but just what kind of school is this?" Zeph asked.
Hiroko seemed surprised, but smiled a little.
"This is none other than a vampire specialized school." she replied. Haku spoke up,
"And just what do you specialize in vampires?" he asked.
There was a sudden flicker, and Hiroko had pulled her katana in a flash.
"Slaying them of course." she said to Haku's question.
