Summer Assignments
This upcoming school year is going to be tough, and it's going to take a lot of effort on my part to succeed. I'll be taking AP Language and Composition, AP US History, Honors Physics, Pre-Calculus, and Spanish III. Luckly, I managed to earn straight A's last year. Let's hope I'll be able to do it again this year. After all, my parents are really strict and their expectations are high. What I can't understand is why teachers give you assignments to do over the Summer. Aren't students supposed to be enjoying their Summer Vacation, not doing all this work? I have to read two books for english and create a response journal, as well as type an essay response; make an outline for three chapters in the US textbook, create thesis statements for each of the focus questions, read a historical book and type up an essay based on your opinion; and solve a number of problems for pre-calculus. I have a little over a month left to get the work done, which means I better get started!
