Piece: Moonlite Part 3
Composer: Beethoven
And that's what started it all. I asked my mom since she knew Beethoven's moonlight sonata so I asked her if she knew it. She said it sounded familiar, but not the thing she knows. This is becuase my mom actually only heard the 1st mvnt., a common mishap. So niether of us knew, so eventually I went to wikipedia and typed in Moonlight sonata (I had no clue that a sonata had three mvnt.s) and found a lot of interesting information. I then decided to look more into classical music, and eventually I came to decide that I would want to take up piano lessons next April. During the summer of 2006, I bought my first connection to classical music, a CD which contained Beethoven sonatas: 8, 14, 17, 21, 23, 29. It was stated to be Beethoven's most popular sonatas, and of course they are known as (respectivly): Pathitique, Moonlight, Tempest, Waldstein, Appassionata, and Hammerklaiver. I had known enough to know these were the good ones, but when I got home, I found I was missing another famous sonata, Les Adiuex. I had to find someway of getting to this sonata. No one played it at the time on the web. And eventually my dad bought all the Beethoven sonatas on disc. And I decided to listen to all of them. I had lots of time then. I eventually got around to find more Beethoven works, which would be his symphonies, and at this point, I had joined gaia. If I remember correctly, the night I joined gaia was the night I heard my first symponhy. Symp. No 9 in D minor, by Beethoven. And that's when it all truly began my musical world.
