A Life Less Empty
By: Al
Each waking day with on and off smiles,
Realizing every time that something is missing,
The very thing that had been taken so long ago,
Something anew had been given to me yet taken just the same.
Dangling before my very eyes,
As if merely to toy with my very being,
"It wasn't meant to be. Everything is against you,
Why do you still bother?" the voice asks as he is held before me.
This question only lingering on my mind but not for long,
The answer was right on the tip of my tongue,
Spitting right into the villians' eyes,
Each and every one of them before my reply.
"A life less empty...." I muttered softly,
Never did I expect any of them to hear me,
"How is that?" one of them asked me,
A smirk across my face, "Simple.. he's perfect."
