Lionheart Conquest Story: Prologue
((This is just a story I'm working on at the moment, the prologue is complete and 8 chapters to go. Just give me your opinion on the story, no bad comments please maybe just advice thats all. I'm still practicing in writing stories so this is my second actually. This story is told in first person view, thats why there isnt as many conversations as there would be in another book. Also I'll put the character's pictures as well on their name incase you wish to know how they look like. Hope you enjoy. ^^))

There is a story that tells about three legendary warriors, who are dead now but is always told because of their great success in life and their total power and alliance as one. However, these three warriors didn’t just came out of nowhere, they came from a powerful family that had ruled a huge portion of the land known as Arcana. On that year, the Lionheart family ruled almost all of the land, the Xeno family rule the mountains of Tai, and the Cross Family who control their homeland know as Home. I am Kenshin Mori, a survivor of the Lionheart family which had died sometime ago. There is one person left of the family, Rei Lionheart’s son Viper, who later changed his family’s name to Viper Cross once he took over the entire land, but also discovered his ancestors came from the Cross family. I currently serve King Cross as his tactician, but I have yet to see anyone rising against his rule, haven’t seen anyone trying to kill him either. Not even the Xeno family wishes to fight against him, of course Viper is no tyrant so why would there be fighting right? Who knows, but I sure want to get rid of him and bring back the Lionheart name. Well I believe I do have a story to tell, I shall begin with the first chapter of the Lionheart family, this was the beginning of how it all started...

Prologue: The Rise of the Lionhearts

In this time there were five kingdoms, the Cross, Xeno, Sanga, Tengu, and Jow Dawn families who ruled the portions of Arcana. You see, the Lionheart family wasn’t even known yet, only their most powerful warriors were who which they served the Sanga family. The two greatest generals of that time period were the Lionheart brothers, Shingen and Keiji. When they fought together on the battlefield, it was said nothing was left alive behind them, in which this alone caused fear among the other lords. These two wanted to make a name for themselves, wanted to show the land they were superior but they didn’t have enough men and generals to do so. However, Shingen had an idea, why not start an army, and thus they started to make one b ut it wasn’t easy of course.
“Shingen, are you sure we can do this? Turning against our master for the sake of our name?” Keiji asks his older brother as he was getting ready for battle. Here, both men had gathered the soldiers needed to fight, al they needed was a plan.
“Of course we can, we are the Lionhearts, bravest of all the land. Come brother Keiji, together we shall end this ruler of the Sanga and make our name known everywhere in the land.” Shingen replied with a smile as he got his weapon ready and takes one last look at his lucky charm before leaving his home. The Lionheart family was very small at first but now their numbers grew greatly, their original place was a small village near Sanga’s capital Hanko. Why its called Hanko you ask, because this name means to the Sanga troops pride over honor. The Lionhearts thought differently about that fact but it doesn’t bother them the slightest. Let me explain a bit about Sanga before I move on with the story, Sanga is a very huge, grassy, meadow land that’s very well known for its events and such every year. It had some mountains but they weren’t big enough, however Sanga does have a lot of rivers, lakes, and waterfalls in the area. Their very well known for their supplies in the land, that’s why the Lionheart family want to get rid of this kingdom for good but also first to rise to power and prove other warlords wrong.

Both men now embark on their adventure to head over to the castle, the other people of the other villages or town who joined the Lionheart army headed to the castle as well, their plan being in surrounding the castle in a crane formation. The crane formation is a special move used for defense and to hold back any attackers, meaning if the soldiers of the castle fight back their at a disadvantage. As the army drew closer to the castle, the soldiers of Sanga called for the signal and began the attack, some leaving the castle while archers and catapults were being shot down at the Lionheart soldiers. They managed to endure the blows and took down most of the men, some retreating back to the castle in a matter of minutes, others dying in vain and being slaughtered. The army had separated now, Shingen’s men heading into the castle gates, while Keiji’s men headed into an underground tunnel they planned in using to surprise the enemy from the inside. As they did this, King Sanga had ordered his men to continue fighting, and kept his wife and only daughter safe in a room so make sure they wouldn’t get hurt. The Lionheart knew never to hurt women and children with the exception of there being a woman soldier that would be different. By this time Shingen’s men were in the courtyard fighting with the Sanga soldiers, these soldiers were more trained then the people the Lionheart trained, however they aren’t capable of the same powers the soldiers Shingen trained.

“We got them now men, charge at them and do not let up Victory is near ” Shingen shouted to his men as they ambushed a group of soldiers that came as reinforcements. A general among the Sanga army known as Arthur Grongril came from the castle doors with some soldiers as well, but he didn’t need them. I remember this part well, I was about 17 when I was fighting among the Lionheart family, only as a soldier though. I watched at Arthur wiped the men in his way with such ease, not even feeling tired nor angered, rather calm and at ease. He eventually spotted me and went after me, but I was able to hold out and fight for a bit thanks to my shape shifting powers. However I wasn’t good enough to even lay a scratch on Arthur, thinking it was the end of me but soon Shingen showed up and saved my life.

“You’re a very tough soldier, now get out of here and leave the rest to me ” Shingen shouted to me and I did as what he said. I got up and left them fighting, deciding to help my other allies with some of the soldiers but I got really worried about Shingen. As I was about to help him though, I saw he had defeated Arthur, but rather than killing him, Shingen lets Arthur go and he runs off into the castle. I watched Arthur flee the castle and I couldn’t help but smile at my master’s great wisdom... or kindness was it, but anyhow I followed the groups of men into the castle and seeing it was hell in the area. The entire place was in blood, bodies, weapons, and screaming, I realized Keiji’s men had surprised them and caused many to be killed... it felt like meeting the devil himself in hell, the devil being the king as I saw him fighting off soldiers at the other end of the huge hallway.

I still remember that battle, my arms were trembling in fear at the sight of soldiers getting slaughtered, and I was unable to move from watching a massacre that I had never expected. It haunted me for a while, I’ve seen worse during my younger age so I don’t worry. I may look like I’m still young, but I am actually 82 years old, no family and no friends alive. My sisters are no longer here and my friends aren’t either. Anyways, I finally got the courage to move again and ran around the castle, only to find soldiers all over what had appeared to be the main room on the ground; it looked almost like Hell’s Pit, it was all covered in bodies and blood everywhere. I kept moving though, and found lord Shingen facing Rex Sanga. They were both fighting and at first I wanted to aid them but I knew I was still too weak, so I hid myself and watched the fight, soon seeing Keiji appear and aids his older brother against Sanga. The castle was in flames by this point, and it almost appeared like it was going to fall any second but it didn’t. I did see this woman though in another room who was peeking out, she looked like a queen or a princess, I couldn’t tell and I didn’t care at the time, but this girl did happen to be Sanga’s daughter. Ah yes... Rose Sanga was her name, now I remember. She was to wed someone else on the day of our attack but that wedding was delayed... and permanently it was. More on that later, but for now I did look at the girl and told her to leave the castle through thought. I wasn’t able to speak to her by words because the place was burning up and soldiers screaming also. She did so and leaves the castle, Sanga saw this and he reacted quickly but Shingen was a lot faster and got to her. One thing you have to understand about Shingen is that he was part tengu, making him a powerful demonic spirit race which in Japan... wherever the hell that is, they believe these types of races or creatures causes them bad luck and the sign of the devil. What devil, the only devil we have here is nature’s bad side.

Well moving on, it was up to Keiji now to defeat Sanga, I don’t know what Shingen was doing at this point so don’t ask. I got out of my hiding spot and helped Keiji fight him off, we both eventually defeated him and killed him but that was all we could do. Master Keiji fled the castle and so did I, but I made sure no one else was in the room I saw the woman in. Afterwards, I fled... and as I got outside the castle fell... and the remaining soldiers who were inside all died. It was a very horrible sight I tell you, I never wanted to experience it again. But I had to... well needless to say we won the battle, the Sanga became ours; soon we made a new and more powerful government, also everyone was given freedom and thus, the Lionheart conquest begins...

Lol well thanks but it could be more of the prologue, I just wonder on average how long is a chapter... oh well I'll find out. But I'll make it that, the prologue
