Oh my dearest love Karo...WE were introduced by my Uncle. They traveled together taking care of each others families. Occasionally we crossed path's with Karo's family, but not often. Yet I believed we were always close to them because My Uncle and Karo was able to ake care of both families no matter where we were. I was young when I first met Karo. Maybe 9 or 10 but traveling constantly makes it hard to keep track of time so I am not sure. He was probably about 17 and came with my Uncle when we where being forced out of a town. A gadje child had been found murdered and the town blamed our caravan. When thier men came for us they started fires and my cousin was killed. My Uncle arrived and I don't really remember much after that because I fell asleep. Yet I remember Karo swiftly taking out one of them men headed our way. He was so quick it seemed impossible and he was beautiful. His hair smooth and eyes glistening as if they hungered for something. When I awoke the next night Papu and mamos where sitting by the fire mourning my dear cousin. I believe they also thought I would be lost but I survived. I was told I was knocked unconcious from a hit to the head. Although most the family had trouble remembering the previous night. Karo was sitting with my Uncle in the shadows. Uncle asked to inspect me to make sure I would be well. This is when he first introduced me to Karo. Karo...Thorn, I thought in my head. He seemed to gentle and young to be a thorn. From then on it was not uncommon to see him with Uncle in the shadows. He always seemed so youthful. AS I got older I noticed him more and I was told by my Uncle to stay afar. For Karo was named so for a reason.
