Trip to England
In a round of Journal posts, I'm going to attempt to recall my trip I just got back from. It'll probably sound very stupid, as I can't remember the names of half the places I visited. XD

I left on Friday, May 18th, and just got back Sunday, May 27th, and I went with my "grandfather" that I call Captain. (I've.. never really considered him related. My grandmother divorced, and married him before I was born, but he's never really been a close relative.. Of course, he became one when I was trying to get to England, but that's beside the point. XD)

Day One
Arrived in London Gatwick at around 8:00am in the morning. For those who don't know, that's like 2:00am my time, so I was dragging hardk0re until my excitement kicked in. We made our way through immigrations, got our luggage, and made it through customs. I guess we didn't look suspicious, they didn't stop us to inspect our luggage. After making a quick stop at an ATM, and getting what money I had in dollars changed to pounds ($170 = £76.34, or something like that), we went outside to hail a taxi.

And then starts the scariest car ride of my life.

Now, those that have driven/ridden with me, you know that I tend to yell 'DEATH' if I get frightened by what's going on. I decided to keep myself from doing this, because I didn't know how the cabby would react. Europeans (and most the rest of the world, really) drive on the left side of the road, which terrified me to be whizzing around a busy, traffic-y London on the wrong side of the road, weaving between lanes full of double-deckers and other taxis.

But aside from that, it was rather fun.

We drove on a route that took us past some embassy, and then by Buckingham Palace. We also managed to spot Trafalgar Square out the window, and St Pancras as we neared King's Cross. We hunted down Platform 9 3/4's (got a tourist section there were you can take pictures, which I did), then hung out in the first class lounge. I had my first proper cup of tea, and it was amazing.

From King's Cross, we took a train to Cambridge, and then swapped to a train bound for Norwich. (Thetford is a stop along the way, and a short stop at that.) As soon as the doors opened at the station, we hurried down the aisle of our train, jumped out with our luggage, and only went a few steps before the doors closed behind us and the train started off. Really short stop.

We went up and over the rails on the little bridge thing, looking around for Mike, who was supposed to meet us there. My heart must've been going a million miles an hour.

(Haha, I didn't tell Mike this, but I spotted some guy waiting by the stairs on the other side, and I thought, 'Omg, is that him?' and I was very disappointed, because he looked similar enough to him that I could confuse him for him, yet different enough that it wasn't who I was expecting. Then, of course, the guy left with a group that was ahead of us, so I was majorly relieved. XD)

So then, as I'm struggling to get my suitcases down the stairs on the other side, up walks Mike~ I could only just flash a big Drakku grin and continue hobbling my way down the stairs. We got a taxi that took us out to where I'd be staying, The Glebe House B&B, out in Elvedon, I think? Just a couple miles outside Thetford. We dropped off my stuff, I got my room key, and we went back to the station to see Captain off back to Cambridge. Mike and I walked on through Thetford to see if Chris was in. (We tried holding hands, but uhm.. yeah, he's kinda taller than me, and it was just at that awkward position that one of us would be alright, and the other one would have to fold their arm, etc).

Chris was in, so we hung out there for a little bit. I gave him the PotC hat and stickers. Then Mike and I walked to the sports center and sat on a bench to wait for his mum and Mike to drive by and give us a lift back to his place. (Yes, this well get kind of confusing between the Mikes. I'll just call mine Ehkru. <3)

I'll edit this later with the rest of it. I have to go get a shower. XD

EDIT: Unless, of course, I DO edit it, and Gaia doesn't save what I posted.
Too tired to retype it, I'll do it later.
