In the beginning there was just you
It lasted for what seemed like forever
We grew together
We fell apart
Now a new wind has blown
A new ship has set sale
And now its time for me to bale
What we have now is not enough
I need to escape this cage
I need to be free
I need to fly
I need to soar high
You keep me locked in this container of sorts
Causing my depression
Flowing my urges of death
All these years I hid it inside
This pain of mine

I had thoughts of ending it
I had thoughts of going away
I wanted the pain to fade
You pushed me to the limit
You made me feel inferior
You kept me in this cage
A wild bird
You didn’t let me free
You kept me close
I got frustrated
I got angry
I clawed you with my talons ever so sharp
I made gashes in your skin making marks
But now the time has come for me to fly free

To rejoice that the nature is me
In all these years you never known
You hurt me more then anyone
Keeping me locked up inside this room
Making me feel so terrified
Afraid to be alone
But now your clinginess has come to an end
Because this can’t go on
This cannot mend
Those other times were just submission
But now I must strike
If you do not let me be free
Then I will force it more
I will fight to fly
I will fight to be me
You cannot keep me
No matter how hard you try
Which is now why you have to say goodbye
But not for long
For I shall return to thee
When the time is right I will fly back

Right now I have to be
