Those who visited my page should know that I have a serious Super Smash Bros addiction. I unlocked all the characters within three days of my purchasing the new Super Smash Bros Brawl, and all the stages two days after that.
What is it about Super Smash Bros that has captured my interest so? The cameo characters? The cute yet senseless fights they get into? The endless amounts of items? The battle system? Perhaps a mixture of all that.
But my favorite part of the game is something which most games do not have anymore. Its fun. Thats it, plain, simple fun. So many games are so worried nowadays of making a game look graphically nice, or have a deep engaging storyline or unique battle system that they neglect to actually create games which are fun.
Don't get me wrong, there are many fun games out there besides Super Smash Bros, but the re playability is not there. I can continue brawling for hours and still feel like I have not had enough. Its a great way to just unwind and relax. Of course if you have other people to play it with too thats even better.
It seems that the only reasons I buy the new Nintendo consoles is so I can play Super Smash Bros, and believe me, it was a good investment. Of course there are many other games for the Nintendo consoles that I play as well, most notable is Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. But after you complete the game do you start over?
Super Smash Bros has captured my attention with each new installment and I have no idea if they plan to release another Super Smash Bros title, or how they are going to top their current release. Either way, I've got addicted to this game BAD!
