getting ready for sophmore year...xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I've done a lot of shopping the last few days. In and out of various stores, walking so much that my feet felt like they were going to swell inside my converse. Talk about painful. I like the concept of shopping - getting new clothes that look good on you, make you look good. It's confidence boosting. But the actual shopping itself makes me want to plan and execute a group suicide - only I don't die, and everyone else does. I'm constantly in and out of dressing rooms, making sure I have the right size for this brand, making sure that pair of jeans isn't too big for me. It's exhausting, yet still satisfying to walk out of a clothing store with a nice outfit you went through department store hell to find. Ah well, that's life, I guess.

I got my schedule last Tuesday, and as of now it looks as if I'll be in a least four classes with people I don't know or am not acquianted with. And that's for first semester. Physical Education, Oral Communications, Pre - AP Biology, and Algebra IIA. Honestly, out of the four, I think Oral Communications will be the worst for me. Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I am not a public speaker. I don't stand up in front of crowds and talk about subjects, or read an essay in front of a small group of people. I just don't - I'm not equipped for it. My nerves go haywire and my palms start to sweat just thinking about it. But I suppose I'll just have to suck it up, take it like a man woman. On the upside, I have Mr. Clay. He's supposed to be a really nice guy, and it'll be good to get some experience having him as a teacher before I put my acting skills to the test in front of him for Drama next semester.

As for the rest of my classes, I'm unsure about Pre - AP English. Mrs. Pinkerton is supposed to be an evil teacher, no matter how fun her name is to say. For AP World History I have Mr. Remow, who's supposed to be tough yet fun. Algebra IIA shouldn't be too difficult. I've met the teacher and he's a really nice guy - my mom thinks he might be gay, which would kinda make him cooler. Pre - AP Biology, I don't know. Bio isn't that hard for me, really, but I know nothing about the teacher. For French II we don't actually have a teacher - we're learning from videos. Can't wait to see how many people fail that class. And last, Physical Education, which I shall rant about in the following paragraph.

Why are we forced to take phys. ed. in high school? Every day since kindergarten, going to the gym has been a requirement. We sweated our way through it - we should be free by now. I know, I know, it's only for one semester, but my argument still stands. Why? And for that matter, why do we have to take Health? I took Health all year in eighth grade - I don't particularly feel like relearning everything again.

Alright, I think that's all for now. I'll probably post another entry on Wednesday night, after school. Talk to ya later, peeps! [wow, that was a lame and uninspiring ending to this entry. please disregard it.]
