He took a deep breath and exhaled is slowly, his head turning and looking out across the grassy field, then the edge of the everlasting expanse of forest. "Well... No. Once this place was filled with humans and creatures of other world and times alike. Friends and enemies, permanent residents and some only to depart soon after arriving." He said, his head turning to face her again. "But lately, this place has become a shell of is former self, loosing much of the warmth and grander it once held," He paused for a moment to think. "Alas, this place has indeed become... Quiet." He said, his voice soft and musical, warm in the growing cold of the now lonely place. "Though some of us remain, some return to this place that we can all call home, especially when we have none other. This school will always attract those who are different, those who are strange, those who want to learn, even though the days of classes have long past been gone." His smile faded a little as he spoke, then returned only a moment after, though the look of despair that resided in his pale face would stay in anyone's mind far longer than it should. "It's sad to say, but... I arrived here in its diminishing years. But this place has stayed my home ever since." He slid his hand from his pockets after a long moment. "I do sometimes forget myself. My name is Xan, It is a pleasure too meet you." He said, sweeping one arm across his lower torso, his other extended slightly out as he bent himself down in a bow.
