I'm being interviewed by a representative of Yale today at 2 o'clock. I'm not that nervous at the moment, but I'm sure this will only get worse, as it always does. To top it off, I had a horrible recurring headache yesterday (if I moved my head it felt even worse), and I hope it doesn't come back during the interview.

...and my mother blew it off while my father made a sarcastic comment or two (man, they really stung). I pretty much stayed in my room for the rest of the day just reading.

My parents have been gone almost this entire week, and they're coming home today. At first I thought I'd miss them, but when they left... nothing. Didn't miss them at all. It was a lot less hectic and much more quiet just having my mother's friend around... and I liked it. I wonder how they'll react when I tell them this.

My parents are going to Las Vegas this week for some conference with my father's company. It actually goes on for three days, but they decided to stay there for the rest of the week. One of my mother's friends will be watching my sister and I during their trip, but for the most part, I'll be assuming most of the responsibility. Cooking, washing, yada yada yada. I hope we don't get too much snow this week, because that means I have to go outside and shovel it. neutral
*** Not doing anything at the moment, even though I have two big assignments due this week.
Note: All of this actually happened the week of the 11th.

Neither snow, nor sleet, nor dark of night... |

...will keep my mother from going to the hairdresser. Seriously. We got about six inches of snow last night, and today I'm not going to school because of it. My sister's school is open, but she's home today because it's too much of a hassle to get there. My father still went to work, despite the weather.
But nooo...my mother went to get her hair done. Somehow it's too much of a hassle to go to work, but she can still get her hair done.

*sigh* Another rat-hunt... |

... *sigh* I was in my kitchen about a few nights ago, because I was hungry and wanted to get a snack. All of a sudden I saw a tiny rat run across the windowsill and behind the microwave....I told my father.... all of a sudden he was up and rushed to the kitchen to kill it, and somehow my sister and I got involved, along with a machete and a pair of sandals. It turned into a 20 minute rat-hunt.
And all I wanted was a muffin.
