I decided to write this cause, well, I love to write. This is Chapter 1(part 1) of "Fallen Wishes." Enjoy!


Cold...Cold...Cold...it was so frigid, she couldn't remember the warmth of summer. It reminded her of her own life: So hard, and sad that she couldn't remember any soft happiness. The girl stopped pedaling and set both feet on the ground. She felt a bond with the Earth, she could relate to it, she understood it. The girl stood there and took a deep breath of air. She wanted to stay, but couldn't. He would beat her more if she stayed out too long. A tear rolled down her cheek, disappointed she couldn't enjoy time with the world. Instead she had to return to the dreaded hell she was forced to call home.
The girl finally arrived at her destination. She got off the bike and leaned it against the garage door. Walking, up the stairs, faint voices from inside the house could be heard outside.
"Dammit, Gina!"
"Stop, please! Honey, be calm...please! I didn't mean to upset you like that..."
The sound of her parents arguing tore at her heart, taunting, bringing her down. The hatred for her father was kept inside, locked in her heart. She opened the door and her mother's screams and cries echoed throughout the house. The girl walked up the stairs calmly, her eyes filled with sadness, but there was no expression on her face. She heard footsteps start up the stairs. He's coming...he's coming.... Those words echoes through her head with fear. She wanted to hide, wanted to run, but there was no place to do either. The doorknob slowly turned and the girl grabbed onto a pillow and buried her face into it and sobbed softly and silently as the door opened.
