So, this entry is mostly for me in the event that I choose to return to this dying place. If you're not me, there's nothing that can really be gleaned from this post outside of the reason I chose to leave this place again.
So, a brief recap: I joined in2007, so many years ago. Around the same time that random item generators became commonplace and everything started to shift to be much more aggressive in terms of marketing here. You know, basic corporate greed.
For whatever reason, I chose to return at the beginning of 2024. Every single person in my friend's list is gone and likely to never return. The cash-grabbing has reached new heights, and the economy here is a wreck. These aren't the reasons I left, just observations. The reason I chose to leave again, at the end of May 2024, is because this place is rather toxic. This really does go mush deeper than political discourse and is more than likely a product of an forum system, chugging along in an outdated fashion. That might also be partly my doing. I've got a bit of a hair-trigger mentality when it comes to any person attempting to justify the oppression of other people. Like yeah, free speech exists, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't anticipate and expect consequences for your shitty takes on life. Anyway, if you're reading this, future me, this is why you left.
For anybody else who might have stumbled on this page, you won't get much out of looking around here. I deleted my entire post history and my inventory has been dumped into the donation bin for whomever might want what I had. Anyway, good luck out there.
