Today was the 2nd day of the Thai new years... this time we splahed people from the truck. After that we went to the temple and made a pile of sand. we decorated it with flowers and flags... than a monk came over and chanted somthing... Boon says it brings luck. Boon and I went to lunch together, when we retuned home we took a nap. It is so hot in the afternoon that I nap a lot.
Than we went to a small city near by to pick up some gifts for the last day of the festival. we are supposed to give gifts to the elders in the family. We got some speghetti sauce. for me to cook for them. It dose not taste as good as the stuff at home... >< but it will have to do...

In the Afternoon my advisor took me to meet the princible. All the staff so far at school are very nice.
That night was the school party. I helped sell Thai salad at the English booth. I tried some, it was SO spicy! my face tunrned red!
I als danced a little and hung out with Bua and her friends. It was pretty fun... Koon Pa(dad) took me home at 10:30pm and I fell asleep right away.

I has some trouble remembering the culture, so I am writing some of it down... -Don't pick up things with you feet -Always say thankyou -dont hug boys, only hug people you are good friens with and are girls... -Dont wear short shirts or speghetti straps -Simles are good, they show you are nice and friendly -If you put your best effort into something, people will appreciate it I am sure there is more but I don't remember!!
Overall I think I fit in well so far... my family always tells me when I do somthing wronge... and I work hard to correct it. My Thai is improving as well, but not that much -_-;; I need to study a lot more!! I have been having so much fun with my sisters and their freinds. Tody I hung out with them, I could not say a lot but we had a lot of fun trying to communicate.
I played with the dogs! They are nice but they are kept outside. Which is good for me ^_^ I like to go out and play with them! Than bua took me to the arobic dance place, but it was closed so we walked around the school instead. They are preparing for a school get together.... not sure what it is... -_-;; and we met the AGS student john from Germany there... He speaks Thai very well... I need to study so I can speak like him!
There are gekos everywhere! I looked up and saw 5 of them on the roof!

I woke up to the sound of a Roster @.@ It was funny. Boon and Bua like to sleep in, but in Thailand I like to wake up early, because it is less hot. Today we went around town and meet some of their friends and relatives. They were all very nice. Than we saw Sa school, it was pretty big! Bua bought me some icecream! it is the best on a hot day!
We also went to arobic dance. I was pretty good at keeping up because I exercised at home, but sometimes I was confused.
I also helped a little with the house work. Dishes are washed by has and we need to wash our own underwear by hand everyday!
I took a shower to stay cool about 4 times!
>< SO HOT!
still... I am happy to be here.

We left for Nan that morning, everyone called me Suay (pretty) ... they say I look like Boon!! It was a long drive and we stoped at many gas stations. It was fun to look at the senery of Thailand I also studied Thai and played my gameboy.
We stoped at in a small town for lunch. There was a Temple there we went to vist... I saw a scorpien O.O!! Than in the market place, I saw a lot of big ugly cockeroches!! @_@ I almost cried They kept telling me I need to be brace and strong. As we drove closer to Nan I became nervous. I wondered if my family would like me!
I arrived there and they welcomed me with dinner. They were all very kind. The mom and the 2 sisters speak English pretty good. The father dose not speak much. I gave them my gifts. (When they wear teh Az T-shirts they look so cute). They only bad thing is they have not airconditioning!! Bua, Boon and I slept together that night... it was fun! ^__^
Boon taught me how to clean my underwear! Tomorrow we will wacth a movie one of the teachers bought for me... it has a cute puppy on the cover.

Today we learned Thai words which we used to speak to our advisors. We also had to plan somthing to represent our country, the US picked comic book heros, and I sang the song 'I've been working on the railroad' The Germans sang and did skits... which I participated in ^_^ The Australian did an intro to the animals there... (including the platipus!!!) the Japanese girl sang a pop song and showed pictures of her favorite pop singers -_-;; and the Thai advisors greated us by teaching us a little of Thai dance and doing a tradition welcoming ceremony which is supposed to bring us luck.
It was very fun! My advisor will take me around Bangkok tomorrow...

The flight to Tokyo was very long, about 15 hours... O_O we were all very sleepy because we only had about 2 hours of sleep the night before
I kept getting distracted by a cute puppy on the plane... ^.^;;
Everyone looked like zomibies when we arrived in Tokyo... but I was going crazy looking at all the cute things while we waited for the plane. I ordred sushi!! in Japanese of course... it was funny because I was useing the chopsticks backwards everyone looked at me like I was adorably silly I was having soo much fun I did not feel sleepy
Than we boarded the six hour flight to Bangkok, I help a Japanese man who knew no English fill out a Embarkation card only in English and Thai. We talked in japanese for an hour or so... and than I fell asleep for about 2 hours. If only my Thai was as good as my Japanese... -_-
We meet the AFS voleenteers at the airport... and I exchanged 30 dollars for baht. Than went to the hotel room to sleep The hotel is very big and beautiful, with lots of plants! I will be here for about 3 days and than I will meet my sisters!!
