What does it take to push a person over the edge?
Suppose that every day you were shoved against a wall, or physically abused in someway....
Suppose that every day you had various objects thrown at you....
Suppose that every day you ridiculed, and outcasted for how you look, or etc...
Suppose that every day someone made you feel worthless, and a loser...
& so on....
Would you be able to handle it?
Do you know how it would feel to have no friends, to feel alone, to be put down and made fun of just because of your appearance? Would you like to be one of those poor kids sitting alone at lunch with no friends, or to be one of those kids who are always getting picked on for how they look?
Really now, could you handle it?
I hate the way the world has become these days. All violence and bloodshed. It makes me sad to see so much hate, and negativity in the world today still. All the negative energy...doesn't it ever get old?
And people wonder why some suicides happen, or why school shootings happen...
"Monsters" aren't born; They're created.
They're created by us, by us mentally, emotionaly, and physically abusing one-another.
Isn't school supposed to be a place where you'd go to learn, and to make/see friends?
Now it's a place you go everyday and see kids getting ridiculed for various reasons.
But it's not only at schools where kids get ridiculed at, it's sad when you can't even go on a website such as myspace without having some idiot saying negative things to you when they don't even know you.
People don't realize how big of a deal this is becoming. People don't realize that making fun of someone is wrong, and tears away at the person.
It's not all fun and games to pick on the "geek".
Is it fun to push someone around? Is it fun to make someone feel worthless? Is it fun to make someone cry? Is it fun to sit there and shoot spitwads or throw objects at someone? Is it fun to sit there and make fun of the kid who's sitting alone? Is it fun to sit there and outcast someone or make fun of someone for how they look or etc...? Sure you may sit there and laugh with your friends while doing it, and think it's funny to pick on the "loser" but tell me, will you find it funny when one day they decide to get revenge and bring a gun to school and the next thing you know you're looking down the barrel of a gun?
&&No matter how much someone is rediculed, or pushed around, it is not right for them to kill/harm another. It's 100% wrong of them, but we can't make them out to be so horrible and "monsters", when infact we caused it. Sure the media and etc...tries to link school shootings to music, or video games and etc... but I don't think it's a coincidence that all these school shooters had something in common, they were all victims of abuse.
But the moral of this isn't to not bully one-another so a school shooting won't happen, that is a key point; but plenty of other things happen when someone picks on another kid, plenty of things that aren't as severe as someone shooting up a school, or committing suicide happen.
To all of you who have picked on someone and etc...
Why pick on somene for their apperance?
Why pick on someone for how they dress?
Why pick on someone because of their sexuality?
Why pick on someone for their skin color?
Why pick on someone whos never done anything to you?
&&Etc.....
Really now...how could you find it funny to hurt someone else?
You need to stop and realize how ******** ignorant you are for that. It's the personality that counts, somones heart and soul.
All you shallow cunts who put people down because they may have: Acne, be overweight, underweight, different race, etc..are a disgrace to society, and the leading cause of low self esteem which can lead to suicide, self mutilation, or others killing. It's really sad too when all these kids act so proud that they're vain, or so cool for picking on someone. Congratulations, you're the cause of someones low self esteem...thats something to be real proud of right?
I'm sure we all remeber this saying:
Sticks and stones can break your bones but words can never hurt you?
Wrong.
I'm sure all of our parents taught us this in hope of trying to teach us that what people say won't hurt/bother us, but they're wrong.
Words can hurt and they really do. Not only physical abuse leaves scars, but emotional, mental and verbal abuse leave scars to; they are just harder to see. They're there, beneath the skin, inside the mind, eating away at us like a cancer.
Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can kill you to.
Instead of commenting on the negative things we may see in others, we should point out the positive things we see about them.
To everyone out there: Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves, and to be happy, and to have high self esteem. Every person is born with the ability to believe they are beautiful, don't let anyone tell you that you aren't beautiful because everyone is in their own special way<3
With all of this said, please...don't hate another just because they are a certian race, or because of their sexuality. Don't harass someone because they may dress different, or look different. Don't make fun of someone because they are obese, or etc....Also don't let others do it either, if you hear someone verbally or physically absuing someone, say something. We're all to blame for how bad society has become, but we all have the power to help make it change. So next time you see someone getting picked on stand up for them, next time you see someone sitting alone ask then to join you and your friends, and etc...all these small actions can leave big impacts, and brighten someones day.
