*sigh* I should go to bed, but I thought I'd let everyone know how I'm doing first. I'm not dead... not yet. I've been having a hard time finding time to get online; when I'm not at work, I'm either playing on the computer (like, DooM and such), or sleeping. Really, that's about all I do anymore. XD
Uh... yeah. Today was one of Those Days. You know the ones I'm talking about: just really hard to keep going. But I got through it! biggrin Go me!
Star Wars Eps 4-6 are out... again. This is - get this - the rerererelease. 3nodding
1) original VHS release after original theatrical showings 2) VHS rerelease for Special Edition 3) DVD rerelease for Special Edition 4) DVD rerelease for Special Edition and original theatrical release
And, of course, my family has had all of those, save the newest ones. And, of course, I was the one that bought #2 and #3, so... yeah. I'm not spending another $60 just for the originals, as much as I want them.
Maybe I can find them at Half-Price Books.... I should check that. biggrin
ANYWAY. I love you all, but I'ma go to bed now. Leave me a comment, let me know how YOU'RE doing! <3

So I'm working at Wal*Mart. It's funny; I always assumed that dealing with customers would be the hardest part of this job... but instead, I'm finding myself frustrated with the lack of effective communication between employees, rather than actually having trouble with customers. In all the time the store's been open (three weeks this coming Wednesday), I'm had exactly one irate customer (wanted to exchange an opened PS2 game for a different title, which is against policy) and one pretty rude one (and she had good reason, considering that I forgot to give her her two dollars change - oops). On the other hand, every single day has had at least one example of poor communication and/or poor workmanship and/or poor leadership - and usually more like five or ten examples of the same.
Don't get me wrong - Wal*Mart is a great place to work. Ten percent discount on games and stuff? That's basically tax, right there. biggrin But the management... well, let's just say that I think there are more efficient ways to do pretty much everything. Stocking should not require us to pull every box from the back and take it to the floor, on the off chance that there's something in there that'll fit on shelves. When a box says "overstock" (means that the shelf space is full already) and last night's date, that should mean that, indeed, it IS overstock, that we DON'T need to try and cram another power cord into that spot. And when management makes up new rules on the fly, they should tell EVERYONE the new rule, not just one or two people. That way, the rule actually gets, y'know... followed or something.
Oh well. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I'm not in charge, I just follow directions. They didn't hire me to think all that much.
And if I were in charge, then communication difficulties wouldn't be the least of Wal*Mart's problems. *would hoard all the DSs and games for friends* ninja
On the other other hand, I've met some pretty cool people there. Heather, who works in the Communications Center (basically the cellphone, satellite's, and XM/Sirius sales), is selling me her boyfriend's Xbox tomorrow. Rumor has it that she's gonna use the money to buy him a PSP... isn't that sweet? biggrin
And Jon, Ashley, and Ambyr are pretty cool, too. Good times, good times.
Oh well, it's after one in the morning here, and I have to be at work at ten, so I'd better get to bed. Just thought I'd let some thoughts out, a la the Pensieve. Maybe I'll be able to sleep a little better with this off my chest...
Yeah, right. razz

w00t.
I got my first pin today! It says, "Our cashiers have Wal*Mart Attitude", with a little smily-face-man on it. Once I get my vest, I'll be a REAL Wal-Mart associate! surprised
Yeah. Now, it's off to a dinner with my aunt, uncle, and grandfather. Hey, free food!
Love, hugs, kisses, and stuff - should be on later tonight.

*cough*
Oops, I did it again. (I can't believe I just said that.) Work plus sleep plus LTC puppets preparation equals no Internet time. D: Sorry, all. Store setup at Wal-Mart is something that requires a good deal of lifting, toting, running around the store looking for certain pieces, more lifting, and doing the same jobs at least three times because no one knows just how they're supposed to be done. I'm getting paid, though. Yess. ANYWAY. Sorry I haven't been around - once I get used to getting up and actually doing something, then I'll be online more. Just... Real Life, yanno? Love you all, hope you're doing well! ~<3 *runs off to answer week-old PMs*

Ooops.
So, last Friday night, my Internet connection had an incident involving a trampoline, a dumb kid, and backflips. (The tramp was right under the phone line; he pulled a backflip, caught his foot on the line, and pulled it down. Good news is, he landed the backflip.) Dad fixed it Saturday, but I took the chance and decided to take a break from The Internet (dun dun duunnnnn). I spent some offline time at home, being pretty lazy; watching some TV (Tron is an awesome movie), playing offline video games (Serious Sam is an awesome game), and that kind of thing.
But I'm back now. surprised Just thought I would mention what went on.

Whew.
Tonight - well, last night, seeing as how it's tomorrow already - that is, Friday night, seeing as how it's Saturday morning already - WHATEVER.
IT was my graduation ceremony from ATI. I'm finally finished with them. I had to improvise a speech when they called me up as valedictorian, even though I told them I didn't want to do a speech. Everyone said I did ok, though (it was mainly just a thanks to everyone, my family, my classmates, and my teachers).
Other than that, it went pretty well. The main speaker guy made, like, three mistakes, leaving people out and stuff, so that was funny. Made me feel not-as-bad about my speech. AND I got a perfect 4.0 GPA the whole way through, so I got a Summa c** Laude medal... which just means I got good grades, I think. razz
It really looks like one of those gold-foil-wrapped chocolate coins, though. My friend pointed that out while we were sitting there, waiting, and I said, "Right now, I'd rather it be chocolate!"
I was hungry.
Yeah.
Anyway, I've got pictures that my dad took, but I'm too lazy to put them on my photobucket tonight. I'll do it tomorrow, prolly.
Just thought I'd let everyone know, and stuff.
OH, and I've done a couple of websites for a local lawyer guy, so I have MONEY~ I owe some of it to Dad, but I'm hoping he'll leave me enough to get a DS and AC:WW... maybe even MKDS, too! biggrin
That'd be GR3T.
Um... I'm tired, I'm going to bed. 'Night!
