Came upon this quote while listening to a radio interview between Orson Welles and H.G. Wells that was discovered semi-recently.
They were discussing the events surrounding the radio premiere of the program War of the Worlds, that caused panic in America, because people actually believed they were being invaded by martians.
I just found this quote striking, especially with its connotations today.
And thus, my first journal entry in several years.
