Personality:
Bernard acts as any noble-born, richly-bred young man would; nose in the air, sneer in the place of a smile, inflection to his speech that speaks of intelligence and money. He's a little sideways in his thinking, as he believes he is truly a heroic force to be reckoned with, and likes to fancy himself as something of a duke amongst peasants, despite his several embarassing falls from grace. A headstrong personality makes for several misunderstandings as to what counts as a dire situation and his sense of timing couldn't be much worse, usually showing up with a great deal of bluster several minutes after he was needed. He's actually a trueborn coward, someone who can't hold his gall if he happens to be facing a situation alone; if there's a crowd, he'll suck it up, but he'd really rather run than fight.
Underneath this haughty, overall unlikeable exterior, however, is a man of his word. When he drops his high-born Superman act he is a sobering fellow who happens to be extremely intelligent - if not a little socially awkward. A high level of self-respect leads him to expect nothing but the truth, and he's quite sharp to recognize a lie; but it also leads him to have an insanely stubborn drive to always be right. He doesn't mean to offend, though it seems to be his native tongue, and is a very loyal friend if one takes the time to break through his upbringing. Also, despite being of a rather... hefty Pokemon breed, Bernard is just a few pounds heavier than an anorexic; he does enjoy the food, but is terrified of the consequences of overindulging and therefore monitors everything he eats with caution.
IN SHORT: Egotistical, cowardly, naive, generally nice. Doesn't know when to give up, how to judge subtle emotions, or the best time to intervene. Spits out nuggets of wisdom on random occasions, mostly by accident. Very frank, never lies, not one to apologize first.

- Aubrey Renfrow: This little lady happened to save his life, and as any good gentleman he fully expects to pay her back. Even if that means playing along with her fantasy dream of becoming a champion partnering...
- Septimus: For whatever reason, this Seviper seems determined to have Bernard's head in his gullet. Bernard has a few ideas as to why this fellow's attempted to take his life (four times, as of late), but that, of course, is secret.
