Well, even on thanksgiving, people have work, and today mine will be in Life Issue (L.I.). My thanksgiving won’t involve a big family get together or any crazy travel plans, mainly because my thanksgiving celebration took place on Tuesday.

I’ll be in L.I. and responding to PMs every few hours since we are all real people, and we all have real problems, even on holidays. Also I’m sure a lot of the regular L.I. helpers will probably be traveling, eating, and dealing with their own family problems; thus, Loti is available most/all of the day. She just has to write one paper, but even then, she’ll probably be online and answering PMs and posts.

May this day bring joy to your family and peace to your hearts as we enjoy this day where giving thanks is celebrated. Enjoy these moments, you never know when they may be the last. Make memories, not just a meal; Find joy in anything and everything you can.

Well, welcome back to my journal. As you may have noticed, a few entries have disappeared. I did some winter cleaning and shuffled them out. I think I’ve finally come up with a purpose for this journal, which would be similar to the job I had with “Elysium” (a Gaia magazine hosted and written by members) as a help columnist. Unfortunately… Elysium stopped printing just before last Christmas and thus my writing has been limited to LI replies.

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my jobs in the LI and helping everyone is amazing, this will never end and I will always be looking for posts at the oddest hours; but I figure, I have enough down time between posts to write up some articles, so I will, on many issues which pose a problem to many LI posters.

Advanced warning: Most of the posts I deal with (but not all) are either relationship issues, or sexual issues… so guess what my journal articles will be about? Yep, you guessed it, sex, relationships, and all that fun stuff between.

I need a new title for the journal, though I’m not quite sure where to start, I guess I could label it like a magazine.

Tangent:
Also, one other bit of business to address… A few have noticed that my name “withering lotus” seems very ‘typical’ but actually there is more behind it then you may think. Let’s break it down.

“Withering” is also the process of dying that a flower goes through but also has strength since it is devastating. I like both definitions and thus apply what ever you want, but my personality will never wither.

I love the idea the flower represents, and it is symbolic of my life. They spring out of rough times, bloom, sink back into the muck but rise again untouched. It’s a beautiful metaphor for the strength which I wish on every person I help.


Well, I’m off, have to travel tomorrow. Hope everyone rests well tonight and finds peace in each day.
