Chapter 1 the Hooded men of the night Time: 8:30 pm, Place: New York City. As Johnny walked quietly down the cold damp ally in the heart of New York he sees cats fighting over what’s left of someone’s takeout he hears something. A gust of wind flies through the ally like a speeding car. Johnny looks up and watches dark figures in the night. The figures jump down from there hiding places and surround him. As they approach Johnny feels like a surge of energy has just passed through him, and he fells the urge to fight. Before I get any further let me tell the story of Johnny. Johnny grew up in the countryside always wanting to break free of his parents. He felt that his parents were holding him back from his dreams. Johnny became a rebellious teen. He’d make up something like he’s going to his friends’ house. He did go to his friends’ house until they left. They’d wait till about midnight, and then sneak out to the one o’clock bus to New York City, there Johnny had some friends’. Harold worked for the D.M.V. he made the licenses. Harold made Johnny a fake ID. To get into the clubs and they drink all night. There fun was always short lived for they needed to catch the four o’clock bus back and get dressed and back to sleep before anyone woke up. When it was time for Johnny to go to collage he said he didn’t want any help from his parents. He lied Johnny said he found a school, and he moved out that’s the last his parents saw of him. He took the money his parents gave for collage and moved in with his friends’. Johnny had trouble with his girlfriend so he went out, and got drunk. Now that your caught up back to the story. As the figures closed in on him he pulls out a gun. “I’ll shoot!” Johnny cried to the heavens. At the best of luck a pedestrian a old woman in her 80s slouched over hears this cry and dials 911 on her cell phone, but she didn’t have service. Johnny shoots, and the old woman screams and runs down the street. One of the hooded men yells”There’s a witness, get her.” Her bones so weak that she can’t run and they take into the ally brutally kick and punch her. She’s left there to slowly die a horrible death. Her cell phone gets through to the emergency operator “911 what is your emergency? Hello?” it’s to late the woman has gone to the great beyond. The men go to return to there first victim and he’s not there. Johnny ran as fast as he could. He dares to look back, there they are running after him like starving dogs after a piece of steak. He looks up ahead and sees red and blue lights coming towards Johnny waves his hands around like a psycho. The police don’t seem to see him and continue with there patrol of the area. At the top of his lungs Johnny screams “STOP.” The squad car stops for only a second to see Johnny racing towards them. They come out of the squad car with there guns drawn. The police shine the spot light at him “what are you doing?” said the officer “there after me!” Johnny cries. The two officers put down there guns. The second officer grabs hold of the spot light and scans the dark allies behind him. “What’s after you there’s nothing here just the blank walls’ of the ally. Are you messing with me ‘cuse I’ll put you in jail for that” the officer blurbs out “no don’t you see there right there” Johnny franticly mouths. He runs over by the second officer rips the spot light from him and points down the ally to show nothing. The officer vigorously grabs Johnny and says “You have the right to remain silent anything you say or do will be held against you in a court you have the right to an attorney if you can not afford one the court will provide you with one” Johnny replies “What did I do?” When you grabbed the spot you pushed my partner down that’s assaulting an officer of the law. You’ll get five years minimum, have fun.” As they throw him in the back of the car he sees the dark figures, but he doesn’t want to say anything for they might think he’s insane. Johnny started to wiggle in his seat some how the hand cuffs came lose and so the policemen in the front didn’t know he didn’t move until they arrived to the station. The first officer opened the door to Johnny out, but when he opened the door Johnny kicked him in the face. Lucky for Johnny no one saw not even his own partner Johnny now has a weapon his cuffs are still on one hand so he can choke people. He reached in the front and choked the second officer. As the officer gasped for breath he went for his radio, but he soon found out it was unplugged from its’ receiver. The officers’ hand slowly falls to the ground Johnny grabs the keys to the squad car. Releasing his grip from the cuffs allowing the cops head lean forward. He climbs out of the back seat opens the front door he flops down and ignites the engine and slowly drives out of the parking lot. He pulls into a small hidden area and changes outfits with him. It’s a bit big on his small little body but it will have to do. Johnny climbs back into the vehicle, and revs the motor and he’s off. Johnny races onto the high way he scans the road signs for his exit. As he drives he hears a noise one of the cops is starting to awaken. Nervous he speeds of the exit to a small abandoned road, and takes his night stick and beats the half dead cop until it stops moving. Johnny continues on ward to his house where he decided he will burn them in the furnace. The motor comes to a stop there’s an aged building on its’ last limb. He pushes the door open to see a house rotting away with paint that can barely stay on the walls, broken lights, and what looks like the perfect murder scene. Johnny drags his victims in to this god forsaken place, and throws them down the stairs to the furnace room. He pushes them in front of the ancient heater. He picks up the first cop with a face beaten in, and throws the corpse into the blazing fire that only gets hotter with every second. Johnny slides over to her second mishap, and drags him by his collar across the dirt infested floor. Suffering from fatigue Johnny can barely lift the cold lifeless body, but he manages to lift the cop onto the table next the blaze and pushes them both into the steaming fire trap. He looks down at himself and sees he’s still in the cops clothing, but now it’s covered in the officers’ blood. Johnny rips off the blood soaked clothing, and rolls it into a ball and discards of it. Being in that blood for that long stained his skin. He tramples up the stairs to the top floor, and runs under his cold dark shower. Johnny hears something like what he heard when the hooded men attacked. He slowly turns his head towards the window one of the men in the black hoods is staring him down. For about five minutes they don’t move. In Johnny’s thinking “How am I going to get out of this. I’m not fast, and I can’t fight. What’s that? My gun if I slowly move toward it I can have him a gun point, yes that’s what I’ll do.” Not noticeable he moves toward his pistol. When he finally grabs it he flashes it to the window and keeping it there. The creature shows no fear as it flows through the window, and next to him. Johnny learned to use the stock of the gun to knock someone down. Johnny lifts the gun, and swings it at the head of the hood. His hand flies right through it. At this point Johnny is freaked out, and flips the gun over, and opens fire. The bullets go in then back out of the ghostly creature. He runs down the stairs and trips over a string that ripped off shades giving rays of light to the figure. The light made the ghost a human, but the human still having an urge to kill Johnny grabs his gun, and gives one solid hit to the chest. The man falls over smacking the floor. Johnny heads to a small room in the back of the house with the only working light. He sleeps with the light on, and a loaded gun.
