SEXuality conference! (Did I catch your attention?)
Im not sure if this will be TERRIBLY interesting but such is life. Today I got up and I was going to be late because I had to go to school early to go to this conference/convention for like gay/straight/bisexual/pansexual/transsexual/transgender/etc ( just so everyone doesnt think Im a transexual or anything Im a pansexual female with a male avatar) and I TOTALLY put my makeup on wrong and went the whole day without noticing because I was rushing to get to school. It was a pretty cool conference, I learned alot of about gender/sexuallity issues in diffent countries in history, turns out most countries had many different ideas about gender and that you could be many different genders not just male and female (which was the enforced european way of thinking) Im glad to see that we're reclaiming our individuality. There was a really funny presentor for the workshop entitiled "Let's talk about sex!" It was really good. Did you know you'd have to drink around 4L of saliva to get HIV from someone who has it? That's pretty interesting since I didn't even know you could pass it on at all. They also made jokes about the female condom, which is a pretty funny invention in its self. We also got to brainstorm different ideas with schools to, one of the issues I found came up the most was educating the educators. It's pretty sad to see that there's still a good handful of male teachers who are still openly prejudice. My grade six teacher once confessed how disappointed he would be if his own son was gay, I find that depressing because your son is still your son whether or not he is straight or not. Another thing we wanted to do was educate children at younger ages about freedom of sexuality, it's sad to see primary school children throwing around words like gay and f** as insults. I also went to a workshop about religion and spirituality which was interesting in the sense that he talked about how religion is a good thing but some people use out of context scriptures and make it toxic, and I think we should really take back religion just like we took back the word queer. We shouldn't let the biggots have everything. A couple interesting things about the hall; It was ALWAYS cold, maybe this is just because I only weigh 115 pounds or maybe it's because I was wearing a t-shirt but it was freeezzing. Another interesting thing about the hall, is that they served HUGE muffins, like you could feed Africa for a month with these muffins, I tried to eat it all but I just dont eat much, my friend brandon helped me out. An interesting experience I had at the hall is that when I went to go to the bathroom.. they had the gender signs covered with a piece of paper that said All gender bathroom, I wasnt sure which one to go into so I went into the first one and it didnt smell like urine like most mens washrooms smell like so I assumed it was the girls washroom, I walked in and there was a guy peeing! Ah! My virgin eyes! I just looked away and like ran into a bathroom stall! but when I sat down I lost the need to pee, I had to wait a like a minute before I could pee lol, Im so weird. ANYWAYS, after the conference I went back to school and saw Dan, who is so religious that he doesnt even own a TV, and I didnt tell him where I was, he gets upset when I talk about "gay" stuff, he days its just "wrong and disgusting!" Lol I told him that denying a child msn and a tv was wrong and disgusting and he should punch his parents. In the face. Anyways after I saw dan and talked to kira <3 OH SHES SO NICE, I went home and got ready for rowing, I went all the way up to brock only to wait an hour and go home and find out that practice was cancelled, no one bothers to tell me, those jerks. My mom came and got me and we went shopping, I bought a pretty hat that only cost like 30$, Its really warm Im even wearing it right now mainly because Im always cold. We also went out to eat and I got this garlic bread that was HUGE! Jesus how do they expect me to eat all that, I dont reheat and eat food so it went to waste.. I feel bad about that but reheating food is just gross to me.. the bread will be all soggy from the microwave and the greese from the cheese.. the service was pretty bad though, it took like an hour to get our food, and the people who sat a table over were drunk and the one lady had a really ridiculous laugh. After that we came home and bathed my kitten, who basically acted like a rock. He was all stiff and if you were to stop supporting his head he probably would have drowned... he's so silly, he's like that if you put a harness or collar on him too, what a fool. heart Anyway that was my day, hope whoever (if anyone) reads this doesnt think it was incredibly boring heart
