Matrika appears to be a normal, cheerful 5 year old. She's smart for her age as well. She's cheerful, despite her horrible past. Too much has she seen for her young age.

Her parents were killed in front of her at the age of 3. She was picked up by a band of gypsies not long after. They felt sorry for the young girl. The children in the troupe more than welcomed her. She was loved by all until she got caught in a game of chance.

The children were playing hide and seek. No one's cart was off limits to them. Knowing people were scared to go in Janinna's cart. She was the grandmother of the troupe and held many old and scary artifacts. Her cart wasn't off limits, just not one anyone went willingly into. Knowing no one would look in there for her, Matrika hid. She found an old chest tucked away in the corner and climbed inside. But she wasn't alone.

Inside the chest was a small doll. She picked it up and it all went downhill from there. Janinna had a feeling something was wrong and returned to her cart where she found Matrika nearly unconscious, the doll in her tiny hand. She knew what the doll was capable of, and knew there was nothing she could do. The doll was now linked to her and would bring nothing but pain to the girl herself and the troupe.

Matrika was exiled from the troupe to prevent any trouble the doll would cause. Matrika has been forced to wander alone. The few friends she had made were short-lived. Some died by her hand as the doll controlled her. She had no memory of this happening. Many times she had upset the doll and would find herself scratching herself, or sometimes the scratches and cuts would appear out of nowhere. Most of the pain the doll caused came from severe head pain, instant migraines that get her crying.

All Matrika wants is to be free of the doll, but putting her down, even for a moment unless she's sleeping, brings on pain. The doll's name, well, the one she tells Matrika, is Mardee. Nothing is known about the doll except that it gives off an evil vibe. Matrika would love nothing more than to be a normal girl again and be able to make friends, perhaps someone can help her....


She came upon a bar, The Blood and Tears. There, she instantly befriended Yu and soon after she was introduced to others in the bar. Mardee was not trusted by anyone, and after seeing the damage it was doing to the little girl, Seishi decided to try to help.

After an altercation with Mardee, who had taken control of Matrika's body, Seishi and Xtasis were able to sever the link the doll had on the girl. With an enchanted bottle, xtasis was able to capture the spirit. Matrika took Seishi's advice and stood up to the spirit, turning it away. It lashed out once more, but missed and was pulled into te bottle. for the first time in a while, she felt safe and free...
