Welcome all to my personal playground, the world of murder and nonconsentual sex that is video games. This is a little short intro to me, a bio if you will. I'll start with the concept of the show itself because Nero is, after all, a stage name.

Serial Gaming
Serial Gaming is all about one thing: the mass murder of video game series. Video games have quickly become as big as Hollywood, often having better plots and production value than many blockbuster films. Countless internet nerds have set out to make money through ad revenue and blog donations by reviewing video games on the internet, the Angry Video Game Nerd and the Spoony One among the best of them. Then what niche does a newbie like Nero have in the video game reviewer industry?
SERIES!!!
Seriously, who reviews series? There's individual games within a series, but who reviews the plot of an entire series over all installments and spinoffs? Me, that's who. Not only will I review the Metal Gear Solid series, I will also review the original MSX Metal Gear titles, the horrible NES spinoff, and the portable installments, along with a continuity review. I will give ratings to individual games, but I will also rate the series as a whole. Maybe I'll even get to the amazing clusterf**k that is Final Fantasy...
If you read reviews for the cathartic pleasure of seeing a game get torn a new one, you might only be mildly entertained by my reviews. I will tear down games that deserve it, but genuinely good games will get the praise they deserve. If you don't like my series-based approach, I apologize for not being you. Or maybe it's you who should be apologising?
Nero the Shade
So now that you get the general concept of the reviews, you might wonder, "I watch/read reviews because I like the host, who the h3ll are you?" I am Nero, and I am the Shade. I am the dark, twisted exhibitionist that knows your games inside and out and will tear them down or raise them up as they deserve. I also channel both the most brilliant and the most demented minds to aid me in my quest. So in a manner, I do not review alone. Or maybe I do. It is a little odd that no one else can see my guests...

All in all, I hope to entertain you at Gaia who stumble across this for a while until I can afford supplies for videos and effects. Like I said, I'm a bit of an exhibitionist, and only the best will do, be it green-screen effects or brilliantly wry prose. Be sure to make comments and suggestions as you see fit! For now I only have access to a Wii, PS2, PS3, and emulators, but feel free to ask for anything at all.
