Don't get me wrong, birthdays are great. You have all your friends and loved ones treating you slightly better than they do any other day of the year, and you get gifts and a cake. A whole one. The problem of course is that my birthday is on the 23rd of December. Two whole days before Christmas.
If you do not know the wonders of having a birthday two days before Christmas, by all means let me enlighten you. The true beauty in having a birthday right before Christmas is a multiple facated work of art. Not only is the day overshadowed by the biggest and best day of the year, but you also have to get everyone to forego the anticiaption of opening their own gifts in two days, to pretend to be happy to see you open yours.
Of course your birthday gifts take on a B-rate criteria, as all your loved ones have long since been broke buying Christmas presents for everyone else. So you end up getting something like a Scrabble board game from your parents. Of course it really isn't a birthday present at all, more like a two-day early Christmas present. One of the cheaper, smaller ones.
"Here you go son, here is your Christma...errr....birthday present. Open it up."
"But dad, how is it my birthday present? The wrapping paper has Santa Claus on it."
"Stop being a little b***h and open it."
"Yay. Scrabble. I'm so excited. I mean, it's not like my sister got a new car for her birthday."
Oh yes, the excitement. I can hardly wait. Cranberry in a can with a candle on it, and something from Five and Below. I can't wait.

It's okay, I'm fine now. It's all behind me.

As of now, I have nothing to say, until I figure out how to work this damn thing.
Alright, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.
As of today I'm currently enlisted into the United States Air Force. I've been in the military for almost six years now. Wow, can't believe it's been that long. I spent four of those years stationed overseas in Germany, where I gained 20 pounds and traveled all across Europe. I gotta tell you, that was the most amazing time of my life. Not only did I meet my wife and have my soon there, but I got to do things that most Americans will never get the chance to.
I've snowboarded the Swiss Alps, took a tour of the crazy antics of Amsterdamn, visited a dozen castles throughout Europe, got engaged with a bottle of champagne underneath the Effiel Tower, stood two feet from the Mona Lisa, visited West Minster Abby and Buckingham Palace in London, and haggled some Turks in the streets of Turkey. Granted you can't describe 4 years of activities in one paragraph, but I think you get the jist of how exciting my time was there.
