People are complicated. A simple, well-known statement. People make things complicated. There's so many factors that change things.
I used to be an otaku. It was that usual 13-year-old weeaboo phase that so many go through. Naruto, Inuyasha, Death Note, and the such. Saying kawaii mixed in there with my English. I knew a bit more about Japan than its anime, of course. Like Kyoto used to be the capitol of Japan, until Tokyo was given the title, but Kyoto still remains the cultural capitol. Anyway, I'm not a major hater, but ignorance ******** me. If you're going to say you love Japan, you have to know quite a bit about it. Maybe there's something you hate about it. There's always something you don't agree with when it comes to whole countries.
That's not the point, well it is to some extent. I can get annoyed with otakus at time, especially the one's that won't listen to a reasonable point-of-view on their favorite anime. But that doesn't make it all right for me to hate every fiber of their being. I've noticed that some others who don't have a favorable opinion of otakus are even worse than the ones they're hating. Otakus, they can get annoying. But otaku-haters, they just have hatred. I tend to think hatred is worse than innocent (sometimes irritating) obsessions. So, I can't say either side is better than the other.
You know what's worse? People who hate a whole country or subject because of one little thing. But that's a subject for a different journal entry.
Well, I'm stepping off my soap box now. Bob the apocalyptic hobo will be ranting next. Enjoy the show.

Ponderment
I don't think there will be a defined thing that I'll write about, which is why this journal is appropriately named Ponderment. It'll just be bits and bobs of things I think about.
