Stupid computer has gone to s**t recently... every time I power on my PC it's pretty much a gamble whether it will boot up or not. And when it does, God knows how long it can run before it suddenly freezes in mid-operation. *grumblegrumble* mad

Backed up my files and going to get my friend to run some diagnostics - was told to be prepared for the worst. Oh well; at least here's an excuse to not only get things fixed, but to upgrade my hardware as well.

As of 3rd of March this year, Mobius has gained another year in age. This list is Mobius' way of honoring the well-wishers.

In just one day's time, the New Year on the Chinese agricultural calendar (also known as the Lunar Calendar) will arrive. As the Chinese culture originally evolved from agricultural societies in ancient times, it is little surprise that the season of spring is viewed upon as sacred and auspicious.

The coming of spring means being able to start planting in one's fields again, and hence a new year of wealth ahead of us; and hence the main emphasis of Chinese New Year is to celebrate the coming of spring and the welcoming of wealth and prosperity.

In the spirit of Chinese New Year, I would therefore like to wish all Gaia much wealth, happiness and prosperity! biggrin

Finally got my new computer! biggrin No more borrowing from my brother, yay! It wasn't easy, though - I had to lug the whole thing which weighed more than 20 kilograms for over an hour... for all that back-breaking work, it was worth it, however. 3nodding

I know this may come to many as a surprise, and even a nasty shock to some. Especially given the fact that I have kept quiet about my real gender.

Silent Mobius2 is, truly, in every biological way - a man. A 25-year old male Chinese living in Singapore.

Four years ago, I created the identity of Silent Mobius2 for myself when I joined the Gaia Online community. However, the identity was further shaped and defined by the perceptions of other Gaians towards me based on my posts and avatar.

As far as the personality behind the posts go, that was what people offline have often known me to be - generally open-minded, selfless and positive; psychologically, I do find myself generally thinking more like a girl than a guy, so quite naturally I flowed along with this created identity, that Mobius is a girl.

After a MSN conversation with fellow WG'er Teru-kins (formerly Teru Teru Bozu), I felt the need to be honest towards myself and others. So I let you all know that biologically, Silent Mobius2 is a man.

My heartfelt apologies to those who have spent so long believing otherwise. But apart from this, everything I've ever said - every compliment, every birthday/Gaiaversary well-wishings, it is all truly from the bottom of my heart.

It just came to my notice that Gaia is becoming quiet... whether due to real-life difficulties or just plain apathy, I don't seem to hear from many of the WG'ers I knew and loved. I shall not drop any names, but for those who are still around, I want you all to know that you're what keeps me hooked to Gaia.

For those who feel like quitting... well, I can't stop you from doing so, at least not for my own sake. But I would like to let you know that you'll be missed.

Is there a point to all this? Well... maybe, or maybe not... I don't know. I'm just so tired and confused, and I just feel like getting something off my chest.
