Appearance:
Davin is considered a moderately handsome individual. His dark brown hair is cut somewhat short, his body is muscular, but not enough to hamper his agility, and his striking cobalt eyes are cold and cunning. His distinguishing feature is a scar running diagnolly from his forehead, across his left eye, and down the edge of his cheek. His dress consists of a suit of leather armor, passed down from the days of lore. On top of the armor, he typically wears a full-body brown cloak, complete with hood.
History:
Awakening
Davin is a man that should have been dead. Raised on a farm to two farming parents, he and his older sister lived a very normal, hard-working life. This stayed true until Davin was twelve. He awoke one night to a fight- Three bandits broke into his home, slew his father, and were sexually assaulting his mother and sister. When his mother was slain for attempting to fight back with a kitchen knife, Davin grabbed his father's greatsword and lunged at the bandits. Slapped aside by one of the bandits, Davin was sent tumbling across the floor, eye and face bleeding where his face was cut by the bandit's blade. Davin looked up to see his sister's throat cut, and with that action, he screamed a blood-curdling roar. What happened next was a blur, and when the constable reached the farmhouse sometime later, he found the boy standing in the middle of the room, with the bandits sliced into ribbons. Davin was standing, body tensed, with two swords, one clenched in each hand. Upon seeing the friendly constable, he collapsed to the floor.
Training
Davin was raised for the next eight years of his life by Servitors of the Order of the Silver Blade, an order of Paladins, Priests, and Warriors fighting against evil and corruption in the name of the Grand Protectorate, the Demi-God Justan Katel. Justan had gone missing over two hundred years prior, and the only clues to his dissapearance were his two swords, now in hands of Davin, and the scar on Davin's eye, similar to one Justan had recieved. Davin was trained in swordsmanship, his internal PIE, healing, and control over his natural affinity to electricity, another trait he shared with the Grand Protectorate. Unfortunately, despite the signs that he was the Reincarnated form of Justan, fell short of their expectations of his abilites.
Current Life
After turning twenty, Davin decided enough was enough. Tired of being compared to Justan, tired of the Paladins and leaders being disapointed in his progress, he decided to leave the Order, choosing to strike out on his own. To date, he has not accomplished any tasks worthy of note.
Abilities:
Expert Swordsmanship- In the years of training, Davin has become an expert in the use of his swords. While he mostly uses both blades in conjunction with each other, he has learned the art of using just a single blade in combat as well.
Basic Archery- Having been exposed to the bow and arrow as a child, Davin has some experience with archery. While he prefers using his swords, Davin can weild a bow with a little more than basic proficiency if needed.
Enhanced Abilities- Davin has roughly twice the strength and agility of a normal human. This is the result of years of training, and possibly the influence of Justan's spirit.
PIETY- PIETY is the ability to harness PIE, or Pure Internal Energy. In scientific terms, it is the genetic, learned, and focused ability to convert the matter inside one's body into pure, focused, and controlled energy. Davin, despite understanding how to harness this ability, is still fairly inept at using it, and tends to avoid using it.
Elemental Attacks- The one PIE ability Davin has managed to control properly is his ability to convert his PIE into electrical-based attacks. While his repitore of attacks is limited, Davin can electrically charge his swords, for a short time, can tolerate extreme bursts of electricty without harm, and can throw lower-leveled bursts of lightning from his fingertips.
Awakened State- Davin can channel the Divine Spirit of Justan Katel into his body, in which he gains an aura-like appearance of Justan Katel surrounding his body, ghostly angel wings and all. In this state, he gains phenomenal powers, speed, and strength. Unfortunately, Davin has no idea how to summon these powers conciously, and they only manifest themselves at important plot moments.
Weapons:
Twinblades of Eternity- Two swords, Escopona' and Imperion, are Davin's primary weapons. Both have been imbued with magical properties, and were the standard armarment for Justan Katel during the later part of his life. Sadly, Davin has not been able to unlock any abilites in the blades, other than their innate ability to be unbreakable, forever sharp, and extremely light weight.
