Gaia has fallen... Fallen victim to the Facebook Monster and Twitterbeast! gonk
I remember that several years ago, EVERYONE had either a MySpace or Xanga site. I have to admit, I got caught up in the MySpace craze, myself. Now, the new craze is Facebook and Twitter. But the thing is, no one has either a Facebook or Twitter. They always come together as a package deal. I have to ask myself, "why?"
I really have no opinion on Facebook, but I really don't see the intelligence behind Twitter. They call it a micro-blogging social networking site. I call it a bad joke. I mean, seriously. Who is so busy that they can't blog using a real social network? Surely even the most hard-pressed businessman/woman can make the time to spill their thoughts into a journal without a character limit. Speaking of which, in all honesty, how on Earth can anyone be expected to express themselves using a 140-character limit? YouTube's comment box allows a greater character limit than Twitter. My cell phone allows a greater character limit than Twitter! As I read in another article, Twitter is the CB Radio of the New Millennium.

Christ, I haven't updated my journal since 2006...! Wow...
Anyway, I've been working on a tarot deck since about that time, and I thought I'd add a link to where you can find what I've got out of it so far. The project is called the Vulpine Tarot. I would post some images of it here, but I don't want to risk getting skinned by the Admins for posting images of skyclad anthro foxes. ...! What?! not all my cards are gonna be like that!
In addition to the cards I made, there's also a good deal of other good bits of artwork, especially if you're into anthros or furries. Check it out if you have the time! biggrin

Athena's death has been avenged, and I find the bittersweet taste of revenge to my liking. Though the driver is still alive, she got 18 months in prison for manslaughter and other charges rolled into one. Everyone who knew the driver will know that as soon as she gets out, she'll be convicted of another felony and be put away for life.

I finally got the video bit to work! I uploaded the Britcom Red Dwarf's "Tongue Tied" clip. It's a riot, especially if you like British comedy like Monty Python. By the way, sorry for not updating my journal in forever. It took over a month to switch to DSL. *says to everyone on Dial-up,* If you ever upgrade to DSL, never have it shipped by UPS.

I have no freaking clue as to what's going on, but a lot of people's avatars have either been changed around or distorted, and I'm one of them, and this only happens in certain places. I mean, there can't be a faulty system, 'cause there's no way that I'd look exactly like Capt. Jack Sparrow with long white hair if the system made random clothing jumbles; the probability is way too small. The current avi I have HAS to belong to someone else... he must've worked really hard to get all these items, and he must be devastated 'cause for him, there's more that's gone than the rum! *glares* ...I smell a hacker on the loose, and if I had the capability, I'd bring the scumbag down myself!

My sister's viewing and cremation happened yesterday. For the most part, it was truly glorious. I started crying as soon as I set foot into the room where Athena rested. Despite knowing that LifeShare has donated her organs, when I came to see her, it looked as though she would just sit up shivering and complain about a massive headache and the horrible make-up job that the funeral home did! There were more people out there at the funeral home than there were at the hospital the day after the crash! If memory serves, there were roughly 12 people at the hospital, and nearly 30 people at the viewing! Even our closed pre-cremation rite ceremony was flooded with people who knew and loved Athena! *sniffles* It's absolutely beautiful to know that there are so many different people who loved her! *raises arms to the Heavens in Athena's honor* Hail, my beloved sister, Athena, and farewell! Justice will be done; I swear it!
