Somewhere There
Not to have to be stuck,
Being called the same,
By everyone else.
To be free of the stereotype,
That everyone is the same,
When it’s all a lie.
I can’t stand the way,
These people continue to talk,
As though we’re all bound to the same rock.
But I heard about this place,
On that side over there.
It gives everyone the individuality,
That they deserve.
But here, with everyone
Who believes what they hear.
It pisses me off to know,
That no one believes in themselves,
Enough to try to be different.
But somewhere there,
I can see it over those mountains.
It seems impossible to reach.
It’s like the mountains are only big enough,
To stop you from getting through.
But small enough to see over,
Just to allow you to want it.
But I know for a fact,
That all of you who have the audacity to say,
That we are all the same,
Will be strongly displeased to be shown,
That you could never be me.
